  • Last week, our colleague Martyna Mazik Padros led a workshop for the SGH Community and BPIA team on careers in Private Equity.  💡 One of the key topics we explored was the concept of Candidate Value—how to define your Unique Value Proposition to build a strong, credible personal brand in this competitive industry from day one. The insightful questions, collaborative discussions, and overall enthusiasm from participants reaffirmed just how much talent thrives within the SGH community! 🙏 A big thank you to everyone who actively participated: we are sure our paths will cross again. As for those looking for longer-term, structured career guidance—watch this space! Something exciting is launching very, very soon! 🚀 #PrivateEquity #CareerDevelopment #CandidateValue #KlubInwestoraSGH #FirstPointPartners

  • 🎉 Huge Congratulations to our Co-Founder, Lika Petitt, on achieving her second Master’s in Psychology! 🎓 Lika’s first Master’s focused on the Neuroscience & Psychology of Mental Health, diving deep into the neurobiological underpinnings of treatment-resistant individuals. Her second Master’s, now accredited by The British Psychological Society, explored how behaviour and relationships impact physical health. For us at First Point Partners, this is more than just a personal milestone—it reinforces our core belief: people are at the heart of everything we do. 💡 Why Psychology Matters in Recruitment Recruitment isn’t just about matching CVs to job descriptions—it’s about truly understanding people, emotions, and the hidden drivers of success. Lika’s research into attachment styles and health outcomes directly connects to what we see every day in executive search: 🟦 Emotional regulation shapes leadership effectiveness. 🟦 Attachment and stress patterns influence decision-making & workplace culture. 🟦 Resilience, adaptability, and emotional intelligence drive long-term career success. In private equity and high-performance environments, hiring the right people means understanding not just what candidates do, but how they think, adapt, and lead. This psychological depth is what our team at First Point Partners thrives on —ensuring that our clients invest in talent that lasts over the long term. Join us in celebrating Lika’s incredible achievement! 🥂🎓 #FirstPointPartners #PsychologyInBusiness #ExecutiveSearch #Leadership #PeopleFirst

Private Equity Recruitment Professional I MSc Neuroscience & Psychology

Absolutely delighted to have earned my second Master’s in Psychology (because one clearly wasn’t enough…) this time with accreditation by the The British Psychological Society! 🎓 A huge THANK YOU to the 250+ participants who took part in my study exploring the link between attachment styles and physical health outcomes in adulthood. Our findings reinforce what is emerging in wider literature: the way we handle relationships, how we feel emotions and our behavioural blueprint has measurable immunological consequences. The mind-body connection is not just a metaphor—it is a biological reality 🔗💙 🔬 Key Findings From Psychoneuroimmunology: ▶ Insecure attachment styles (avoidant, anxious, & disorganised) are up to 11 times more likely to report an inflammatory condition in adulthood. These individuals also: 🔹Exhibit heightened inflammatory responses to interpersonal conflict. 🔹Show delayed wound healing compared to securely attached individuals. 🔹Have poorer response to both psychological and pharmaceutical treatments, with higher relapse rates and greater symptom severity. ▶ Anxious & disorganised attachment styles are strongly linked to cardiovascular and respiratory issues, including: 🔹Increased risk of stroke, heart disease, bronchitis, and asthma. ▶ Avoidant attachment is associated with a higher prevalence of chronic pain, including: 🔹Migraines, shoulder & neck tension, and lower back problems. Therefore, addressing ingrained maladaptive behavioural patterns, feeling our emotions deeply (rather than suppressing them) and being honest about how we show up in the world are essential steps to improved physical wellbeing. ✨ Why This Matters in Private Equity: For many, my academic work might seem at odds with my professional career as a head-hunter—but in reality, my focus has always been on understanding people. Running a recruitment company (First Point Partners) our career currency is, above all else, relational. Therefore understanding how individuals regulate emotions, handle their relationships, and navigate stress is not just insightful—it is invaluable. This is not something that can be found on a CV and yet: ▶Attachment orientation shapes leadership style, decision-making, and workplace culture. ▶ Emotional regulation and relational patterns influence team cohesion, conflict resolution, and long-term career satisfaction. ▶ Chronic stress exacerbated by insecure attachment can lead to burnout, disengagement, and health-related absences, all of which impact workplace performance. Integrating these findings means that hiring the right talent is not just about skills and experience but also about emotional intelligence, resilience, and long-term sustainability. 🎯 What’s Next? A PhD, but first...a long, loooooong rest 🤍 In the meantime, if anyone would like to discuss the topic in more detail or has questions - drop me a DM. Would be delighted to hear from you! #Relationships #Psychoneuroimmunology #Graduating

  • Thank you to everyone who attended our live webinar on the Annual Private Equity Report in Poland yesterday. We appreciated the engaging discussions, thoughtful questions, and perspectives shared. Our data analysis highlights that there is still significant progress to be made. Notably, also that diversity extends beyond gender. Findings from our data analysis include: 🔷 Women represent just 14% of investment teams in PE in Poland. 🔷 40% of current investors have at some point in their careers studied abroad. 🔷 Nearly 50% of current funds do not have any former strategy consultants on their teams. 🎓 And if you are a fund seeking to hire an analyst or associate with a background in investment banking and a preference for candidates with international academic experience, how much of the available junior talent pool would you be targeting? Watch the recording below to find out! For those who couldn’t attend, we invite you to get in touch with us for access to the full version.
