Recognising and celebrating our differences across the firm is part of the #morethanlaw you get with Forbes, it's something our EDIB committee are passionate about. November marks Men’s Health Awareness Month and Movember - this month we have our ‘Forbes – Mo’ Than Law’ Team (thanks for the name Nick Holgate!) sporting their taches but we’re really focusing on Move for Movember and the positive impact this has on both physical and mental health. We have weekly walks taking place at weekends to include families and furry friends and David Mayor is walking 60km to highlight the 60 men who are lost to suicide each hour, every hour, across the world. He’ll be carrying a log and wearing a weighted vest to highlight that we all have burdens to carry, but until they are made visible people cannot possibly know to offer a hand. Yesterday Nicola Dawn has recorded a series of podcasts with David Mayor, Chris Bowers and Casim K. which will be shared throughout the month covering everything from boxing to mental health in the legal profession. With more being planned we’re really hoping to spark conversations and encourage others to open up.
