Congratulations to Carbon Numbers who have this week successfully been through their #ISO27001 surveillance #audit with BSI. This was the first surveillance audit since transitioning to ISO27001:2022 last year, it was great to see how Caroline Fright Neil Fright MA FIWFM and the team are embedding #InformationSecurity into their business. Welcome to October! After last months weather hammered fairways, todays amazing autumnal weather was fun for all out there today. Northumberland Golf Club was in cracking condition and provided a great test of golf.....more of a test to some than other looking at the scores! Nearest the pin this month was a cracking shot by Kevin Maddison, I forgot to ask if he made he putt....??? Longest drive was a cracker splitting the fairway on 18.......again by Kevin Maddison. But to the main event. It was like a recreation of the 'Duel in the sun' featuring stunning golf by both Dean Lamb and Stuart Redshaw down the last 5 holes. It had to be the near killing of Gavin Forster📷⚡🎓on 13 that spurred on Stuart Redshaw to hold his game together (utilising all parts of the course and club house windows) to come through victorious. Well done Stuart Redshaw If any one was in the vicinity of the 14th hole at around 1200, We can confirm that it wasnt a gun shot going off, just this weeks test of the stability of the rails on the racecourse by John Behan. Don’t let a negative forecast put you off! Plan for the worst and take an umbrella! With a yellow weather warning for heavy rain maybe it would have been a sensible idea to cancel my golf and my morning off work. After a busy couple of days that included a worthwhile trip to Newport and then Bristol I had been looking forward to this so I accepted I may get wet and off I went. Umbrella at the ready! I am so glad I took this course of action - I spent a really enjoyable morning with Ben Westerby Joe Ward and Jamie Tinsley at "FORE" Business Bradford. There were dark clouds and yes towards the end there was a heavy downpour, when the umbrella came in handy, but the laughs along the way and some good golf to witness made it all worthwhile. If you have some doubts about taking a certain course of action at the moment because of what may go wrong my advise is plan ahead, take some actions to manage the downside and go for it. Yes there is always the worst case scenario that came happen but equally there may be a rewarding upside to be had.
