Spring has officially sprung; so we have been busy not only with orders, but helping the local community and their efforts! 🪴 We set up an egg collection point that the Easter bunny from the Hospice of the Good Shepherd has been to collect for their raffle fundraiser 🐣 Chapter Mental Health have a local allotments that is incredible for their service users, so we delivered compost, timber and fence paint to help with their upcoming outdoor projects 🛠️ We’re also excited to see what Grow-Wellbeing CIC create with their delivery of concrete rings that are going to be used as planters in a local allotments on the Wirral 🌻 #LocalCommunity #BuildingMaterials #Spring

To celebrate International Women’s Day, we are focusing on the achievements the CIC and the women from our Partner organisations have made so far with our women’s network, Elevate. Our group of female colleagues come together virtually every couple of months to network, listen to inspirational career stories and focus on an important topic with the aim to build their confidence and increase their visibility in our traditionally male-dominated industry. In February we moved from online to offline with our first in-person Elevate meeting. We got a chance to speak to Maxine C. from City Plumbing, Isabella Walsh from Ibstock Plc and Nicola Harvey MSc. MCIPS from Bristan Group Ltd about their key takeaways from the day. We know that together, as a collective of individuals and organisations, we can make construction a more inclusive place for everyone. Lots of exciting (and sweet!) things happened last week 🐣 We had the pleasure of hosting John Allison. FF.ISP at our depot to deliver the Builders Merchants Federation Ltd course ‘How to Build a House’. The team found this session really insightful, and loved the interactive elements ✏️ Jodie met with Gill Carr from Colas Ltd to donate Easter Eggs for their campaign to help with the elderly and childrens’ ward at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
