Bit of networking was had this morning at the fabulous GM Chamber of Commerce mini expo event, meeting newbies and seeing familiar faces 💃🙏 I was even given the 🎤 for a 60 second pitch talking all things NorthCare Charity . If anyone knows me the host was very brave 🤣 but I was well behaved and stuck to the timeframe 👀🤣🫠. One disappointment though, was that I only took 2 🤳 which isn’t like me 🤓. Anyway happy sunny peak of the week everyone ❤️💋💃 Dale Mulgrew Dan Walker Andy Procter Michael Waugh BA (Hons) Samantha Harwood MA MCIM John Ashley @Mark Eden Katie Vaughan-Millington Victoria Kerr Lisa Wroe

  • Foundation 92 and Royal Manchester Children's Hospital Charity to host inaugural fundraising Gala Dinner Set to take over Victoria Warehouse on Thursday 20 March, the event is looking to raise thousands of pounds for both charities. The glamorous evening of dining and entertainment will see a host of well-known business figures from across the region and famous faces come together to celebrate the life-changing projects of both of our charities. The gala dinner will raise funds for Foundation 92’s community programmes as well as funding our life-changing projects for patients cared for by Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. (RMCH). The event, which is being sponsored by Godel Technologies Europe, a Manchester-based software company, will be hosted by legendary presenters Jenny Powell and Hits Radio UK DJ and RMCH Charity patron, Mike Toolan. The evening will feature a three-course meal as well as a charity auction and raffle, and live entertainment throughout the evening. A silent auction with one-of-a-kind, money can’t buy prizes. Foundation 92 works across the North-West with a number of different community groups improving lives through sport, education and bespoke projects, with an emphasis on positive physical and mental wellbeing. The charity uses innovative programmes that specialise in health and wellbeing, education and employability skills, community inclusion and youth outreach working closely with partners across Salford and Greater Manchester. The gala dinner will also support two projects at our RMCH, the largest children’s hospital in the country, including the hospital’s pioneering Youth Service which supports patients aged 11 and over with long-term health conditions. The RMCH service – one of only three hospital youth services in the country – empowers young people to find their voice, build confidence, and navigate the challenges of their condition, both in hospital and at home. The dinner will also support patients cared for in the hospital’s inpatient mental health unit, funding workshops that enable patients to use music and creative expression to build confidence, self-esteem and re-establish their identity. The Champions for Children gala dinner will take place on Thursday 20th March at Victoria Warehouse, take part in our silent auction and be in with a chance of winning some incredible prizes. https://lnkd.in/euaHZpaF

It’s been a very productive couple of days meeting with our close partners at the Peninsula Stadium. Just look at that sunset! 🌇 I absolutely love catching up with Dr Firoz Bhaiyat from University Academy 92 (UA92). I really enjoy our conversations and sharing ideas! 💡I’m all excited for the summer and plans to collaborate next season on some fantastic projects! 🤩 It was so lovely to see Michelle Jackson and Jack Taylor from Peninsula UK, they are absolute superstars and a big support to me. ❤️ I hope you enjoyed your first match with us Jack! ⚽️ It was also great to discuss plans with Foundation 92 to enhance our matchdays and fan experience next season. 🙌 It was lovely to meet their new Head of Comms James Hill too, welcome to Salford! 🤝 I also caught up with the brilliant staff from Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. I’ve been working with them for 2 years now and cried happy tears when they told me the outcomes of our partnership. 🥹 So unbelievably impactful and rewarding to see the power of football first hand, how much Salford City FC means and the hard evidence we have significantly improved the health and wellbeing of our community from this work. I’ll share more on that soon! #Partnership #Collaboration #WeAreSalford
