We're feeling very inspired after attending UK Black Business Show last week! 💫 For the second year running, B Lab UK headed to the Birmingham Black Business Show to chat to business owners about how B Corp certification can benefit their business. B Lab UK team members, Annie Olivier, head of growth and Adam Spink, customer success coordinator were inspired by how many business owners they met who are leading the way when it comes to running a purpose-driven business. A special thank you to our #BCorp Certified friends Karma Drinks, Dr. Will's and Mister Free'd for kindly donating products and prizes for our Spin The Wheel competition. Speaking of competitions, a huge congratulations to Kwame Boateng, founder of Ingrained Oil for winning the Launchpad competition — a Dragon’s Den-style competition where founders pitched to a panel of experts and a captivated audience. During the pitch, Kwame Boateng shared Ingrained Oil’s ambitions to become a B Corp, so we’re really excited to support the them through the B Corp Certification process. It's time to pivot.   Or is it?   Last night, we had a brilliant evening discussing 'the Power of the Pivot' in partnership with DREAM FACTORY!   We celebrated squiggly startup paths, discussed how to know when to pivot, and learnt that the world doesn't end if your initial concept fails 🌀   A massive thank you to our wonderful panelists - Lucy Adams, Rami Kalai & Dimitris Nikolaou!   We learnt loads from your stories and appreciate your honesty in sharing your insights and learnings.   One theme that stood out across all the questions was the power of having a brilliant co-founder… time for us to do a co-founder panel 👀?! 😍 This event is the first time we've ever brought together founders & Jumpstarters and it was wonderful.
