Now we’re in 2025, the Future Homes Standard (FHS) is set to launch, aiming to reduce carbon emissions from new homes by 75% compared to 2013 standards. A key component of meeting these ambitious targets is energy efficient heating – like underfloor heating paired with a renewable heat pump. Underfloor heating operates at lower temperatures (33-55°C), making it an ideal partner for air source heat pumps which perform best within similar ranges. This pairing meets FHS standards and makes underfloor heating and heat pumps the perfect pairing for future homes! Today we’re looking back at our work on Pearsall Terrace in Crystal Palace! 🏘️ We were pleased to partner with Hambridge Homes on six three-bedroom homes in this development. Our team designed, supplied and installed a wet underfloor heating system, working alongside air source heat pumps to create an energy-efficient heating solution that’s as sustainable as it is comfortable. With #HeatPumps being such a hot topic right now, it’s great to reflect on how projects like this are contributing towards a greener future. We had a great time at our annual conference at Ravenwood Hall last week! Every year, the whole Gaia team gets together at the beginning of January to reflect on the past 12 months and look forward to the year ahead. Just like last year, we were joined by Charlie, a representative from the excellent Suffolk Mind, who ran a wonderful session highlighting the importance of mental wellbeing in the workplace. It was a brilliant opportunity to regroup after the festive break and focus on having a great 2025!

We’re pleased to share details of our recent work on West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue’s new headquarters and fire station! We were appointed by M&E provider Heb Group to provide the design, supply and installation of underfloor heating for this project.
