We are so proud to win Bakery Brand of the Year at the 2024 Baking Industry Awards. We were up against some other great brands so we’re sure the judges had to make some tough decisions on picking a winner. Big shout out to all the team at Geary’s who have worked so hard to get the Jason’s brand to where it is today. We have some really exciting plans ahead, beginning with a brand new bakery in the making which will double our capacity in 2025 - meaning we can get more Jason’s to more people 🙌🏻 Thank you to the team at British Baker who put on an amazing event. Julie Eldridge, Geary's Bakery Apprentice Lead picks up Skills Hero Award... Last week Geary’s were awarded a skills hero award by Moulton College for the work that we do with our Apprentices. Geary's have worked closely with Moulton college to create a bespoke apprenticeship training program to train young people in these traditional skills. In the process, Geary's have become trailblazers in the baking industry with the Level 2 Bakery Apprenticeship. Other companies are now looking to Geary's and Moulton as setting the standard in closing the skills gap in the bakery industry and future-proofing the sector. Geary’s Apprentice wins Moulton College's Catering Student of the Year. Congratulations to John Andrews who picked up the prestigious Catering Student of the Year award at Moulton College. This is an outstanding achievement John, and we are all immensely proud of you… Well done!   The college said: "John is an outstanding student who has shown exceptional growth, dedication, and leadership whilst on his apprenticeship. He has made a complete career change and has embraced this challenge with enthusiasm since starting his apprenticeship at Moulton. From the very beginning of his apprenticeship, he has displayed strong commitment to his learning and improving his bakery skills and knowledge. During this time, he has also been given a promotion at work to team leader, in this role he has excelled in his leadership abilities and his position as a role model at college. One of Johns qualities is his willingness to help and support other apprentices. His positive attitude and approachable nature have helped to create a motivating environment in the classroom. He has a proactive approach; he always completes work ahead of time and will willingly explore and experiment with his baking to learn more." Well done John!
