Today our annual Senior Management Conference is taking place, and our leaders will come together to reflect on the previous year and look ahead at 2025 and beyond. Our undergraduates recently took part in a club swap! We caught up with Eoghan to see what he thought of the experience ⬇️ Your home casino is Manchester, where was your club swap? “My club swaps were in Salford and Stockport – I did a week in each.” What did you learn on your club swaps? “During my club swap at Stockport I learnt a lot more about the admin side of a club like stock counts and how to understand and use some systems, and realising that as managers in smaller clubs, you must be ready to do anything. As with Salford, I was able to gain a better understanding of how to run the pit and understand the gaming side, I was also fortunate to be allowed to do the count which I found interesting as I could gather a better understanding of procedures in the count and reason why they have to be done in certain ways.” What did you enjoy the most and why? “I enjoyed almost everything during my club swaps as I was able to experience different clubs and how they operate and speak to different members of the management team to gain further understanding I enjoyed being part of the team at both clubs but especially Salford going into a new environment for a short amount of time I had some reservations, however, the management team and Diane, General Manager, gave me a very warm welcome, really letting me engage with the operational side.” #Undergraduates #StudentPlacement

Lynne, Deputy General Manager and Amanda, Duty Manager, attended Stockport County’s International Women’s Day event to celebrate such an important day. With speakers sharing their experiences of working in male-dominated industries including the challenges, the progress, and the push for change. Amanda said: “It was a memorable day and inspirational to hear from the panellists and their journeys into motherhood, business and everything in between. We really enjoyed being part of it.” Amanda and Lynne left feeling inspired and empowered. The football club's dedication to IWD and driving change was celebrated by a special edition matchday programme paying tribute to the many women and girls who belong to their County family! #IWD2025 #AccelerateAction

This month our cohort on this year’s Fast Track Programme has been busy with another two workshops! The group attended a HR workshop focusing on the importance of creating an inclusive workplace free from harassment and discrimination. This was followed by an electronic gaming workshop, giving the group an overview of our gaming products & systems. We continue to follow their progress on this development course and look forward to seeing how it helps them progress in their careers. #Learning #Development
