We are proud to have been able help support the Hinckley Area Foodbank through the donation of devices. These devices will allow vulnerable individuals stay connected with support agencies and avoid sanctions or loss of benefits. More importantly, these devices help them stay in touch with people and society, mitigating loneliness, cognitive decline, anxiety, and depression. It's a pleasure being able to give back to the Hinckley Area Foodbank, an organisation that has already helped out so many vulnerable people through the distribution of 7,030 emergency food vouchers and providing 63,618 emergency meals to 4,538 adults and 2,491 children under 16. Genuine Solutions are very proud to support and sponsor the E-Waste Ideathon where students from Kingston University London collaborating with University of Westminster, University of London, Imperial College London, King's College London, The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), London South Bank University and University of Greenwich came together to tackle the ever-increasing problem of e-waste. 💰🌍♻️ Working in teams, the students were tasked to find creative solutions to reduce the volume of e-waste using provided data, lived in experience and insights provided by Hubbub, Virgin Media O2, SunrayRecycle, Save The World Club and ourselves, Genuine Solutions. After three short hours, the teams presented back their proposed solutions and we were all amazed at the quality of the presentations and the creative thinking that went into their ideas on how to solve the e-waste problem, ranging from creating awareness, developing reward systems and even using AI for smarter choices which made it very difficult for the judges to choose the outright winners! Reflecting on the time spent from receiving the briefing to developing solutions, it just shows what problems can be solved when working as a team with a common purpose! 🎓 Thank you to everyone that took part!
