It was one of Europe’s largest brick buildings. 2️⃣ Battersea Power Station chimneys steam played a pivotal role over the course of WW2 helping direct pilots from the RAF and Luftwaffe. However, this was used against them as they became a target for bombers due to the Power Station supplying a large amount of electricity. 3️⃣ Standing at 103 meters tall, the four Chimneys at Battersea Power Station are one of the most noticeable features of the London skyline. 4️⃣ The £9 Billion redevelopment of the Battersea Power Station was one of central London’s most visionary and most anticipated developments. 5️⃣ Since the redevelopment of the Battersea Power Station, they have introduced residential, retail and commercial places.
