    Senior Creative - 2021 PRWeek 30 under 30

    There are over 4,000 emojis, yet not a single one represents Black or Mixed-race hairstyles. We've had a paintbrush 🖌️ and a filing cabinet 🗄️ before we've seen someone with braids or cornrows— aslfjasfljasfsfjasflsajfasnf??. We've partnered with RISE 365, a youth-led group in East London, to help campaign for the creation of the world’s first emojis representing Black and Mixed-race hairstyles, designed by the young people themselves. Huge thanks to BBC News, Metro (print), The Guardian, MailOnline, The Sun (print), Daily Star (print), The Independent, PRWeek, Creative Moment and more for supporting the story, and to Mel B and other Black and Mixed-race creators for amplifying our campaign. To make these emojis a reality, we need to prove demand—so take two seconds and Google "Afro hair emoji"..ask your mum, dog and brother to do the same abeg. Thank you in advance, mwa! ❤️

    At #ghd, we celebrate, value, and empower our people.   This World Mental Health Day, the World Health Organisation is highlighting the vital connection between mental health and work.    In continuation of our ongoing internal series of workshops and education sessions focused on better understanding of our emotional and behavioral health lead by Dr Wolfgang Seidl, a partner at Mercer and Global Mental Health Consulting Leader, we today hosted a session for all Wella Company and ghd Line Mangers on “Psychology of High Performance”. This session focused on the vital role our managers play in creating a positive and thriving work environment for our people to be their true selves at work.    We believe in equipping our employees with the skills to foster a workplace environment where everyone feels valued and cared for, and continue to take significant steps in our commitment to the wellbeing of our people.    #LifeAtghd #culture #community #leadership #employeeengagement #WorldMentalHealthDay
