🌱 Rooted in Growth: Conversations with a CEO 🌱 As part of amika’s Rooted in Growth program, our grant + mentorship initiative for emerging haircare brands, we host a monthly speaker series called Conversations with a CEO. In this series, we invite influential beauty executives to share their journeys and insights with our cohort members. This month, we were joined by two incredible leaders—Annie Kolemainen, President of Eva NYC and Erica Cocilova, President of Ethique Beauty. Their conversation was nothing short of inspiring, filled with practical strategies for scaling iconic brands and making an impact in the industry. What truly stood out was the collaboration and innovation between Annie and Erica. There’s something powerful about lifting each other up—a rising tide lifts all boats—and it was amazing to see this principle in action through their partnership. The Rooted in Growth program continues to be a space for fostering new connections, sparking fresh ideas, and supporting the next generation of beauty leaders. Our conversation delved deep into critical entrepreneurial themes: the power of mindset, strategies for standing out in a crowded market, and the importance of giving back to the community. amika means friend, and we are proud to be dear friends and supporters of Orangewood Foundation. 🧡 Orangewood Foundation has been preparing foster and community youth to reach their greatest potential since 1981. This cause is near to our hearts, so we were overjoyed to start working with them last year. During our 2024 Spring Conference, we provided Orangewood with 3 months worth of haircare products alongside our friends OCOA - Curly Hair Care. We are grateful to have the opportunity to continue to support this incredible organization. 🌟
