    2025 has got us reminiscing about Girls in Marketing’s journey. Join us for a walk down memory lane… In 2019, Girls in Marketing didn’t exist. It was just an idea in Olivia Mae Hanlon’s brain. A dream of connecting women in marketing through a tight-knit community. Olivia had always been interested in human behaviour and even studied psychology at University, where she found her love for marketing and SEO. Once she graduated from university, Olivia landed a job in SEO but struggled to find a marketing community that she felt part of. So, in true Olivia style, she thought ‘why not create it myself’? And that’s exactly what she did. Since then, we have grown into a community of 500,000+ marketers whilst helping thousands of marketers through our membership, courses and training opportunities.   • See What She Sees. 👉 7 in 10 women worry about being followed or harassed when alone in public (vs. 44% of men) 👉 2 in 3 women say safety fears limit their social and professional lives (vs. just over half of men) 👉 Yet, 3 in 5 men believe safety concerns are sometimes exaggerated ’See What She Sees’ is a new campaign by Forsman & Bodenfors LDN and Beyond Equality designed to highlight to men the stark reality of how women experience everyday situations. Beyond Equality are an organisation on a mission to engage men and boys in workplaces, universities and schools so that they can rethink masculinities and create change. The collaboration between these two organisations is a powerful one. You may be familiar with the ‘Imagine’ and ‘Double Standards’ campaigns by Forsman & Bodenfors (prev. CPB London) and this campaign takes a similar approach. The bold, hard-hitting comparisons between the experiences of men and women creates a powerful visual that stops passersby in their tracks. Designed to provoke emotion and reflection, the campaign also provides information on what can be done to change this reality. By seeing what she sees, men can recognise where to take action. As Saoirse Ronan said on The Graham Norton Show, in reference to using your mobile phone for self defence: ‘That’s what girls have to think about all the time’.
