Pride month is here! 🌈   We're proud to support the LGBTQIA+ community and we want Gist to be a place where all colleagues feel they belong and can truly be themselves - not just in Pride month, but all year round. This year, we are taking more steps than ever before to celebrate Pride across the business - with an awareness campaign across the network, amongst a host of other activities. 

We are proud to confirm a new verified achievement from The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK (CILT (UK)). In achieving this capability badge, we have demonstrated and evidenced that job role responsibilities and accountabilities are embedded within Gist, and that organisational purpose, vision, and values are explained and maintained. The badge also demonstrates that Gist's corporate responsibility relates to the economic and environmental resilience of the supply chain, and that our skills development programmes are accessible to all, including new entrants. #InsideGist #SupplyChain #Logistics

Huge congratulations to David Rideout from Gist's Bristol site, who scooped the Microlise Driver of the Year Award in the Medium Distance category last night🏆 The awards recognise the UK’s most talented drivers – acknowledging the vital work they do and the professionalism with which they carry out their work. An amazing achievement!

Absolutely delighted to have been named Sustainable Cold Chain Transport Operator 2024 at this year’s Cold Chain Federation Sustainability awards! A massive well done and thank you for your continued efforts to Dan Platten, Tom Atterton, Yasmin Wilks and Grace Smith for this fantastic achievement, as we keep finding ways to reduce our carbon footprint in line with Marks and Spencer Plan A.

We are delighted to be shortlisted for the 'Sustainable Cold Chain Transport Operator 2024' taking place this week at the University of Warwick. Although there still a lot to do, we are proud of the steps we are taking towards a sustainable, net zero future.

To celebrate International Women’s Day we’re hiding some gifts around the site as random acts of kindness. Colleagues can choose to keep the gift or share. Hopefully they enjoy these small tokens of appreciation!

Back in 2010, women working in logistics stood at just 8% of the workforce. Today, that number has risen to 20% globally. Although the increase is encouraging, and we’ve come a long way in opening up to gender equality in the workplace, we know there is still more to do. As we approach International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating some of our female colleagues who are not only passionate about developing their own careers but helping others to do the same. Kia Ardron joined Gist initially as an agency worker almost seven years ago aged 17 years.
