In the lead up to #worldmentalhealthday BBC News London Politics ran a special report on #mentalhealth support for Black communities, featuring the fantastic social enterprise SWIM: Support When It Matters. Dr Juliana Onwumere was on the programme to speak about this topic, talking with Samantha Simmonds, Florence Eshalomi and Bob Blackman about the importance of trying to reduce #stigma around mental health problems, making support accessible and ensuring communities are involved in #research to inform services.
