Our final recruitment event to promote our 2025 internship programme took place in Oxford on Wednesday evening. The Gleacher Shacklock team were able to meet with many young students interested in a future in finance. Partner Martin Falkner introduced us as a company and informed attendees of the core focus of Gleacher Shacklock. Students then heard from Anabelle Anastasia C. about her experience as an intern and following on to her career as an Analyst. After the speeches were delivered, the networking session begun where students were given the opportunity to ask questions and develop their understanding of investment banking. Thank you to everyone who came to Oxford but also our recruitment events as a whole! Following on with our recruitment events, the Gleacher Shacklock team visited Cambridge at the beginning of the week to meet with individuals interested in a career in finance and promote our Summer Internship Programme. Dominic Lee, the CEO of Gleacher Shacklock, informed the students of the fundamental beliefs of Gleacher along with what we do as a company. Analyst Soubhik Sen also gave an insight into what his experience was like as an intern and how it helped shape his position now within our company. Students were then given the opportunity to network amongst the team and gain a further in-depth understanding of how we work and potentially their role as an intern. Thank you to everyone who attended, and we hope to see you again soon or next summer!

Last week we hosted an incredible networking event with our sponsor Gleacher Shacklock in collaboration with Warwick Finance Societies. This event was an opportunity for students to learn about corporate finance directly from industry experts. A special thank you to our speakers! Martin Falkner and Sirsa Majumder spoke about Gleacher Shacklock’s boutique approach, emphasizing its focus on top-tier corporate advice and unique opportunities for junior staff across M&A, restructuring, and capital markets. We also heard from Anabelle Anastasia C. about her journey from intern to graduate to analyst in a boutique environment. Lastly, thank you to Deimante Lenktyte for organising this event and providing key tips for the application process. Following an overview of Gleacher Shacklock, we had an interactive networking session with: Martin Falkner, Sirsa Majumder, Anabelle Anastasia C., Deimante Lenktyte, Tom Quinn, Carson Siu, Ruaridh D., and Cole Bowering, where students got to speak to industry professionals one-on-one and gain insight into the boutique. Thank you to all our attendees and speakers for your participation and we hope to see you at our next event!

Gleacher Shacklock reposted this
Last week, in collaboration with Gleacher Shacklock, Deimante Lenktyte and I had the pleasure of organising a female-led event aimed at encouraging more women to explore careers in investment banking. It was truly inspiring to bring together a group of ambitious female students from different degree backgrounds, who are all passionate about breaking into the finance industry. The evening featured insightful talks from experienced bankers at Gleacher Shacklock, who shared their journeys and provided invaluable advice on interviews, navigating internships, and thriving in the fast-paced world of investment banking. One key takeaway from the event was what makes Gleacher Shacklock stand out as a boutique investment bank – its supportive and dynamic culture, where young talent is truly nurtured and celebrated. The networking session that followed was an opportunity for the students to connect with the Gleacher Shacklock professionals, and share more about their respective journeys. I hope they left feeling more confident and inspired to pursue their goals. At the heart of this event was my passion for fostering diversity within corporate finance, and I am so proud to support the next generation of women as they embark on this exciting journey. I can't wait to see what they achieve! This forms part of our internship scheme offering at Freshminds.
