Careers Event Success! On 5th February 2025, Green Towers Community Centre hosted a Careers Event, organised by Enfield Council’s Participation and Inclusion team and sponsored by Glenman Corporation Ltd. The event supported Year 10 & 11 students in exploring their post-16 education and training options. 💬 Student Feedback Highlights: ✅ "Whoever came up with this idea did a great job!" ✅ "I learned more about A-levels and colleges." ✅ "I will now be doing more research about local apprenticeships." ✅ "I will now start putting up my hand in class to answer questions." 📊 75% of students said they now have a clearer understanding of their future options! Glenman's social value activities continue apace at Hammersmith and Fulham Council's Lillie Road affordable housing development with over 10 jobs advertised, job offers and local company Kpacoustics appointed for the Acoustic Consultancy package. A call to action regarding a school just visited, if you can, to professionals living or working in Hammersmith and Fulham. Claridge Architects Limited Alan Werrett Kpacoustics Greengage Environmental Ltd Joe Bonner Normand Croft Community School is a vibrant primary school in Hammersmith and Fulham attended by tiny early years (2 and 3 years) to children aged 10/11. The school provides many facilities to give their young charges the best start in life including a well-equipped teaching kitchen, exercise bikes (it was so refreshing to see children bopping along to music on their bikes – they gave me a friendly wave as I went past), an orchard (who would have thought for an urban school), a sprawling garden with vegetable and fruit patches and a pond! The school would appreciate any business support which enhances their education provision such as expert marketing advice to help promote a hall space for hire or help with minor works. Hoarding is all up and demolition complete at Hammersmith and Fulham Council's Lillie Road affordable housing development, community centre included. After listening to residents, convex mirrors to see around blind spots were also installed on the hoarding.
