We were delighted to win the Derbyshire Business Award 2024 for Business Improvement Through Technology on Friday night 🏆 Our award entry was based on our partnership with ProQuo AI, which allows our in-house marketing team to monitor brand performance and consumer sentiment in real-time. This allows our team to conduct rapid, updated, and effective analyses of market trends, gaining key insights into consumer perceptions of our competitors, making us more agile to react to trends and develop NPD that will shake up the market. Marketing campaigns are also now more targeted and resonate better with our audience, leading to higher engagement rates and improved brand perception. We have also recently begun working with Salesforce to radically improve our CRM system, enabling us to streamline and personalise our customer interactions at every stage of the customer journey. Giving us a 360 degree view of the customer, we’re able to collate data from various touchpoints, including purchase and interaction history, and preferences, enabling us to tailor our communications specifically for their needs. Added to this our use of technology in digital and POS design and creation with UYR Ltd, email and social media marketing, digital publishing and lead generation, we’re dedicated to staying updated with technological advancements and refining our communication strategies to ensure that we consistently meet and exceed customer expectations. It was great to attend the first ever Sustainability in Drinks conference earlier this week. Some interesting and lively talks from some passionate individuals on the panels and in the audience. We particularly enjoyed ‘The Great Packaging Debate’ involving Encirc among others, and ‘Engaging the Supply Chain in the Sustainability Journey’ with interesting insights from Barry Dick MW from Waitrose & Partners. Key takeaways for us include: · Sustainability is a journey, plans will change, just do the ‘next right thing’ 🗺️ · Keep telling our stories, don’t be afraid to admit we still have work to do 📢 · Work closer with suppliers to make sure you’re on the same page regarding sustainability 🤝 · Talk to customers, partner where you can, change will only happen when we work together 🗣️ We look forward to making progress on our own sustainability journey and next year's conference! #sustainabilityindrinks

Say hello to Matthew Bulcroft, Marketing Director at Global Brands Limited, and our exceptional #FaceOfTheWeek ! 🍾 Matthew’s career in hospitality began during his time as a Student Ambassador for Coors Light. From being involved in student club nights in his spare time to starting his career within sales and marketing across many drinks brands, these experiences lead to Matthew’s current role at Global Brands where he leads a 40+ strong marketing team. Speaking on his love for the industry, Matthew shares, “It has to be the people, every week I meet new people from many different walks and backgrounds. Hospitality seems to bring together the best of them with a wealth of interesting stories and anecdotes, all delivered with a typical warming hospitality demeanour.” The future looks bright for Matthew as he shares his goals, “Short/Medium term I want to continue to grow the Global Brands business as we develop our range of RTDs, RTS cocktails, Spirits and Mixers. We have an aim of £135m business turnover in the next 5 years. “In the much longer term, I see myself using the knowledge I have developed in a consultant role supporting smaller, early stage FMCG businesses, helping them develop into strong SMEs and beyond.” Delving into what, in his opinion, makes an exceptional hospitality professional, Matthew states, “The ability to overcome challenges with a smile on your face and a strong work ethic. Everything else can be learnt from some of the amazing individuals already out there.” To conclude, Matthew offers some words of advice to fellow hospitality professionals, “Learn to manage upwards as well as downwards. Understand that there is more than one right answer to a problem and you are never in it alone so take the time to speak to others around you.”
