The BTCC season may be kicking off soon, but we all know the real action is happening at Absolutely Karting Maidenhead right now! Our project team at LD10.4 took 24 Equinix and Gratte Brothers staff out for an evening karting this week, with everyone channelling their inner Hamilton - or Mazepin - out on track. Remember, what happens on the track stays on the track! Big thanks to Project Director, Joe Bradley, who organised the event. We hope everyone who came had a blast 🏁🏎 P.S. we have our eyes firmly on Donington for April 26th, best of luck for the first race of the season, MB Motorsport 🤞 #TeamBuilding #Sponsors #BuildingServices

Did you know, our Gratte Brothers | Building Services & Engineering projects are directly supported through our in-house design & coordination capabilities? This ensures seamless collaboration, reducing project delays and enhancing efficiency. By working in a BIM environment and leveraging a Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) approach, we optimise off-site manufacturing of both standard and bespoke prefabricated models—delivering faster, more sustainable, and high-quality solutions. Our expertise in 3D modelling for M&E services and prefabrication works enables us to produce fully coordinated designs, ensuring clash-free installations across London and the UK. #TechnicalDesign #BuildingServices #BIMEngineering

Making tangible, engineering-led strides towards Net Zero is something we take very seriously. So when BESA Group invited our Managing Director, Remi Suzan, to a roundtable talk with the Careers at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, we leapt at the opportunity. Discussions on the day mainly revolved around how the use of heat pumps in the commercial building sector can be scaled up. Thanks for having us, BESA & DESNZ. #JourneyToNetZero

We work closely with Equinix to deliver data centres. Together, we noticed a gap in our apprentices’ experiences: ours focused on installation only, while Equinix' apprentices gained exposure to maintenance only. To address this, we’ve created a bespoke apprentice swap scheme, allowing apprentices from both companies to swap roles for two weeks. This provides our team with hands-on maintenance experience and Equinix apprentices with the opportunity to learn about installation. So far, 10 apprentices have completed the swap, broadening their skill sets and improving their employability by gaining insight into the full data centre lifecycle. We intend to continue this scheme on a rolling basis until all active apprentices on site have completed the swap, working around deadlines and their college commitments to ensure they get the best experience possible. We’re particularly proud of this programme as it represents true collaboration between ourselves and our esteemed client Equinix, coming together to benefit the next generation of professionals. We wish our apprentices the best of luck on their swaps, and hope that as a result they feel well-equipped to handle the diverse challenges their career may throw at them. Thank you to Richard Harris for leading the Gratte Brothers side of the programme, and to the team at Equinix, particularly Tracey Magnus, Debbie Phillips, and Chris Eager. It has been inspiring to see this programme come to life as a result of our collaboration and shared vision! 📹 Watch the video here: https://lnkd.in/ergH2X33 📄 Or read more about the swap and hear Richard, Tracey & Debbie's thoughts on it: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/ew7XnQm2 #BuildingServices #Apprenticeships #IndustryCollaboration #DataCentres #FutureTalent

As we start the new year we wish Katriel Akogba the very best as she joins Ryder Architecture for her next assignment of the PlanBEE Apprenticeship. The PlanBEE Apprenticeship rotates students across the partner construction businesses throughout their course. We are therefore thrilled to welcome aboard Blessing A Rabiu who will be with us for the next four months. Blessing starts her time with us in the estimating department before rotating around the business, providing her the opportunity to experience the multiple facets that make Gratte Brothers tick! Best of luck at Ryder, Kat, and welcome aboard, Blessing! Gateshead College #PlanBEE #Careers #Apprenticeships #BuiltEnvironment
Have you heard of the PlanBEE Apprenticeship? The brainchild of Ryder Architecture & Gateshead College, PlanBEE (Built Environment Education) is a two-year apprenticeship with a difference, and we’re thrilled to be supporting it. ‘PlanBEE’ stands for ‘Plan for Built Environment Education’ and focuses on getting young people into employment (which has so far seen a 98% success rate!). Our first placement from the programme, Kat Akogba, spoke to us about her experience so far and her ambitions for the future. Read her story by following the link below! 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gDBnAbGv #PlanBEE #Careers #Apprenticeships #BuiltEnvironment
