#4 days to go until hackajob’s 10-year anniversary 🎉 Today, we’re celebrating 4 times we gave back and made an impact on the tech community, both locally and globally 🌍 💚 1️⃣ CodeWeekend: We ran a half marathon and raised over £13,000 to support CodeWeekend, a virtual coding bootcamp for individuals in Afghanistan. Our contributions helped fund coding education, internet access, instructors, and mentorship for Afghan women who otherwise wouldn’t have had access to these life-changing opportunities. 2️⃣ YourGamePlan: We partnered with YourGamePlan to provide free digital and tech training to every school in the UK. It’s all about taking a long-term view on talent to close the digital skills gap that’s growing across the country. 3️⃣ Tech Recruitment Training (TRT): During lockdown 2020, we hosted a free 2-week training program for recruitment teams and those recently furloughed or made redundant. Over 5000 talent acquisition professionals joined to learn about everything from software engineering to DevOps and more. 4️⃣ Talent Cloud Community (TCC): In response to the global tech layoffs in 2022, we launched a 72-hour virtual event, connecting thousands of impacted jobseekers with companies still hiring. With over 200 participating companies, 50k+ live jobs, and 80 speakers, we were able to create real opportunities for those affected. Here’s to 10 years of giving back and making a difference in tech. And we’re just getting started! 🚀
