Exciting times at our head office this week as we had the pleasure of welcoming Chris Boardman! Chris dropped by to collect his new bike from the new Boardman range, all set for the upcoming Pedal to Paris—a remarkable eight-day ride from Manchester to Paris.   Pedal to Paris is an initiative to spotlight inspirational and innovative organizations in England that are leading the charge towards environmental sustainability.   The journey kicks off in Manchester on July 16th, with the team cycling 550 miles to reach Paris by July 23rd.   Join us in cheering Chris on and wish him the best of luck on his ride! #Cycling #Sustainability

Halfords, in partnership with supplier SCHWALBE TYRES UK LIMITED are offering inner tube recycling drop-off locations across all of our 351 retail* locations in England, Scotland and Wales. Customers can drop off inner tubes at our bike repair section (free of charge) where they will be consolidated, sent back to Schwalbe’s manufacturing facility to feature as material in new inner tubes. Schwalbe’s inner tubes supplied in Halfords stores and online contain ~20% recycled material. As the market leader for sale of inner tubes, this represents a positive step in managing the full life-cycle of the product and supporting a step towards material circularity. This also supports our ambition to deliver end-of-life solutions for popular selling products. *Not available in our garage services, or Irish stores yet
