We are a home-away-from-home for so many families going through really challenging times. We provide practical, financial, and emotional help and support to make what can be a difficult time that little bit easier. Recognising the unpredictability of ill health, we address our guests' needs with flexibility and understanding, both in the accommodation we offer and the development of our comprehensive support services. We provide these services while our families are staying with us and continue our care after they have gone home. Supporting our guests when they stay and reaching out into their local communities to provide support, care, and compassion when it's needed most, every day. Our aim is to support our guests as much as we can so that they can focus all their time and energy on getting better themselves or supporting their loved ones in hospital. I really enjoyed my first visit to Hearts Together CIO this morning to meet some of the brilliant people working there and hear about the wonderful work they are doing. Thanks to Josephine, Cheryl and Michelle for taking the time out for my induction. I don’t know what I was expecting but I was definitely struck by the whole set up (including your incredible location!) and I’m really looking forward to working together over the coming months.

"Did you know" - Green energy! Here at Hearts Together, we are continually looking for new ways to generate income. However, we are also passionate about ensuring that any new services or changes we make are eco-friendly and sustainable in the long term. Our solar panels are a prime example of how we’ve transformed what could have been wasted space into a valuable asset, helping us generate income with green energy. Despite Plymouth’s less-than-perfect weather, our solar panels produced an impressive 33,371 kWh in 2023, bringing in over £16,000. This is just one of the many green initiatives we’ve embraced at the hotel. But we’re not just thinking about today—we’re also planning for the future. We’re dedicated to incorporating a range of eco-friendly technologies and initiatives into our upcoming projects, including crucially Big Build. This is about our shared responsibility to create a better, cleaner, and greener future for everyone. We want to share a few fun facts with you over the next few weeks that you may not have realised about Hearts Together charity and the running of the Hearts Together Hospital Hotel! Our first one is a BIG one, but it’s often one that's overlooked. £270,776 is the amount we needed to raise in 2023 to cover the cost of running Hearts Together Hospital Hotel. All of our rooms are subsidised and as you know, we often provide additional financial help beyond this for families struggling with the cost of staying away from home due to ill health. This is why we are so grateful for every donation, fundraising event, legacy gift, and in-memory donation.
