Through the Edinburgh & South East Scotland City Region Deal (ESES CRD), we’ve partnered with the Civil Engineering Society at The University of Edinburgh to support students preparing for their careers! 👷🏽 Over the next two weeks, our team will conduct mock interviews and feedback sessions with four Civil Engineering students, giving them hands-on experience to help them succeed in future job interviews. With Civil Engineers in high demand, this is also a great opportunity for us to connect with emerging talent in the area. Proud to be working with the ESES Communities Team on this initiative! ✨ Site Visit to St Kentigern’s Academy! ✨ Our St Kentigern's Academy project team was delighted to welcome the Pupil Voice Group for an exclusive look at the site’s progress! This visit gave pupils the chance to see first-hand how their new school is taking shape, as well as the opportunity to engage with our site team, asking insightful questions, and learning more about construction processes and the diverse career opportunities within the industry. With monthly visits planned, the pupils will continue to track the project’s development and share updates with their peers. Ahead of International Women's Day on Saturday, our in-house #healthierbetterlives team organised a fantastic event for the Heron Bros team at our Northern Ireland HQ today. A big thank you to Alice Loughran, Physiotherapist and owner of Alive Physiotherapy, for coming by and sharing her expertise on women’s physical health with practical tips and demonstrations. ☕ The morning kicked off with coffee and breakfast, followed by a meditation session to wrap things up. 💛 As part of our Christmas 2024 Appeal, our Scotland team were delighted to make two donations to the River Kids Charity in West Lothian and the Beatson Cancer Charity in Glasgow. Yesterday, Rachel Esplin and Alla Nekslaw from the Heron Bros Scotland office visited Beatson HQ, where they gave us a tour of their incredible facilities, shared how donations are making an impact, and introduced us to some of the amazing volunteers who dedicate their time to this cause.
