We are beyond thrilled to be the recipient of not one, but two prestigious awards at last night's Annual Woolworths New Zealand Supplier Awards held in Auckland. Our Site General Manager Paul Maltby & his leadership team, along with our CEO Melanie Chambers and some of our APAC Directors were there to accept the award on behalf of our 400-strong dedicated NZ Hilton team members as we won the Woolworths Food Company Supplier of the Year 2024! 🏆 This award is recognition of a supplier who goes above and beyond to deliver differentiated, market-leading products that resonate with customers through cutting-edge manufacturing, sustainable practices, or a commitment to collaborative partnerships. WWNZ said... ‘Hilton are flexible, willing and nimble, are advocates for our strategy and are ambitious in always being one step ahead by hosting market reviews & trend sessions, and always innovating. The Hilton team showcase a strong passion for product, innovation and quality. The enormity of what the Hilton team has delivered in partnership with the WWNZ team is second to none’. The WFC Supplier of the Year sets the gold standard. 🥇 And, our very own Kate Veitch was awarded NPD Manager of the Year for her work in helping to deliver over 300 product launches, strengthening our relationship, consistently exceeding expectations along with her infectious passion for product & quality. We couldn't be prouder – we love your “nothing is impossible” attitude Kate! ❤ Our long-term partnership with Woolworths New Zealand continues to flourish and these awards are a testament to the power of partnership & strong collaboration.  We extend a heartfelt thanks to the Woolworths New Zealand team for the Awards and extend that thanks to all of own team members who contribute each & every day in producing quality products for New Zealand families. We love what we do, and we do it for the love of food!

Today is Anti-Slavery Day, a crucial reminder that we all have a role to play in combating modern slavery and human trafficking.   At Hilton Foods, we are committed to ensuring that every stage of our supply chain is free from exploitation.   To ensure we are doing all we can to monitor and trace our supply chain, we assess our suppliers using both the Food Network for Ethical Trade (FNET) and Sedex risk assessment tools. This approach helps us identify and mitigate risks, taking action to improve labour standards.   Modern slavery is as relevant today as ever and it’s essential that we not only have robust due diligence in place but collaborate throughout the supply chain to eradicate it.   We are a founding member of the Seafood Ethics Action (SEA) Alliance, a collaborative forum to ensure human rights are respected in seafood supply chains. Last year we became members of the Hope for Justice and Slave-Free Alliance to strengthen and accelerate our efforts to eradicate modern slavery.   Let's continue to stand together against modern slavery and work towards a future where all supply chains are truly free from exploitation. Today marks the start of #RecycleWeek, we wanted to share some of the key initiatives we are doing to help recycle plastic packaging.   While packaging is essential for product safety and ensuring long shelf-life, it is crucial we work to reduce plastic packaging and recycle as much as possible to create a circular economy. So far, we have achieved over 64% recycled content in our plastic packaging and successfully introduced tray to tray recycling systems at all European sites. The tray to tray system uses recycled materials from trays and processes them into new, safe, and fully recyclable packaging that can be used again and again. We have now successfully reached 20% tray to tray content in the majority of our European sites. While this is a big step in the right direction, we recognise there is still work to do. We are committed to driving circular tray to tray recycling at all our sites, together we can work towards a recycling system that is safe for both people and planet. #HiltonFoodsSustainability #Circularpackaging #RecycleWeek #RescueMe  WRAP

Today on World Mental Health Day let's prioritise our wellbeing and support those around us. Mental health challenges don’t discriminate—they affect people of all ages, backgrounds, and professions. That’s why at Hilton Foods we recognise that it’s so important to create environments where we can speak openly about it without stigma, harnessing the power of open conversations across our international business. Our colleagues across the Asia Pacific region bought this to life throughout their facilities recently with their 'R U OK?' day. #Worldmentalhealthday

Today, we proudly join the UN Global Compact Network UK in celebrating SDG Flag Day to commemorate the 9th anniversary and our ongoing commitment to the #UNSustainableDevelopmentGoals.   We recently brought together our Sustainability Leads from our European sites for a day of collaboration, reflection, and forward-thinking.   Throughout the day, we reviewed our progress on our sustainability strategy and highlighted significant achievements in areas such as clean energy, resource efficiency, and animal welfare. These discussions proved invaluable as we exchanged insights and best practices, reinforcing our shared commitment to creating a positive impact across all aspects of our operations.   Thank you to all the Sustainability Leads and team for their dedication and passion as we work together to meet our targets. At Hilton Foods, upholding high animal welfare standards is central to our values and business. Ensuring the well-being of livestock and aquaculture is key to delivering high-quality, sustainably reared products that meet our customers' expectations.   As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we’re always looking for ways to enhance the lives of animals in our supply chains. Earlier this year, we traveled to supplier sites in the Netherlands to provide animal welfare training for our customer at Rimi Baltic Group ensuring that animal welfare best practices are followed throughout the value chain.   Read more on our commitment to animal welfare in our sustainability report: https://lnkd.in/egFEY6Ms
