About us

Welcome … to the land of Hope&Glory. If we had to give ourselves a label, we’d describe ourselves as a consumer brand and lifestyle agency that helps organisations connect with consumers through the media that influences them most. But we’d rather skip the label and let you decide for yourself. The agency was started by James Gordon-MacIntosh and Jo Carr back in November 2011. After working together at Seventy Seven PR for three years, they decided to strike out and form their own agency. Starting life as a fledgling agency with clients including O2, D&AD, Meantime and the Isle of Man, Hope&Glory now has a team of over 65 and has added to their client roster names such as IKEA, The Royal Mint, Airbnb, HTC, Virgin Active and adidas. The secret to this success? A steadfast belief in some old-school PR values – like knowing the media and what makes a great story – and being able to convert these to every conceivable field of PR, from social and digital media … to experiential …to stunts … or just a bloody hard-working press office. That means that we come up with award-winning creative platforms that are on-brand and ideas that cut-through and deliver coverage.

  • In honour of International Women’s Day, we gave the entire team Friday afternoon off to engage in feminist causes. Because when women in full-time employment in the UK are still paid 7% less than their male counterparts, action is needed to raise awareness and challenge the status quo. Our good friends at Canela started the “Keep Working for Change” initiative for exactly this reason, and we got involved again in its second year, seeing H&Gers roaming across London in search of education and inspiration. The team engaged in an eclectic mix of activities across the capital, including: ♀️ Women Of London Walking tours of Westminster, Southwark and the East End to learn about the women who have shaped our history, from the Pankhursts and Millicent Garrett Fawcett, to Mary Wollstonecraft and Eleanor Marx, to Octavia Hill and Isabella Gilmore ♀️ The ‘NAOMI : In Fashion’ exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum, celebrating the creative collaborations, activism and far-reaching cultural impact of the iconic fashion model – where the team strutted their stuff on the runway ♀️ A talk at WM College, all about how women leaders drive success, promote allyship, and create social change ♀️ The ‘HighlightHer’ outdoor exhibition at Granary Square, where Hanna Benihoud’s artwork celebrates the ordinary women doing extraordinary things ♀️ The work of Helen Chadwick (on display at the Tate), whose prolific and visceral body of work made her one of the first women artist to be nominated for the Turner Prize ♀️ And even a visit to Big Penny Social for an evening of punk-rock women's wrestling… #SWFC #InternationalWomensDay

  • Ahead of 8 March, Hope&Glory will support Canela and several agencies worldwide in backing the "Keep Working for Change" campaign. This means that on Friday, 7 March, we will be closing our offices for the afternoon to raise awareness of the gender and ethnicity pay gaps. According to the ONS, median hourly pay across the UK for full-time employees was 7% less for women than for men. While this gap is closing over time, more awareness is needed. So, we encourage every team member to spend that day engaging with feminist causes close to their heart. Led by our senior leadership team, the whole agency will attend a range of events on the day, from rallies to talks or workshops on the topic, to better educate themselves on the issue of gender equality. Thanks to Deborah Gray, who came up with the idea, and all the other businesses worldwide for joining in. For more information on the campaign, search "Keep Working for Change". #SWFC

  • Last week, we hosted over 150 influencers and press to enter the curious and creative world of Meta AI in Wonderland, an immersive experience in Shoreditch designed to inspire people to get experimental with Meta AI. Working with our friends Jubba Limited to bring the creative and production to life, we invited guests to dream up recipe ideas in our retro kitchen, try out some AI-powered portrait artworks, and even jump onboard a plane whilst they planned their next bucket list destination itinerary. Meta AI even created the cocktail menu, canape pairings, and playlist for the evening. Not only did we host a bangin' event, but we also managed to pack in editorial content shoots, exec interviews, and capture owned social assets - all in a day's work!
