Current line up for Beyond the Bar! We’ve still got a few more businesses lined up and will be getting announced later this week! It’s looking like it’s going to be an absolute corker!

The current lineup for Beyond the Bsr festival held up at Rigg & Furrow! We’ve still got a few more guests lined up and we can’t wait to share them! Our line up so far includes: Bar No.1 - ourselves Bar No.2 - Angus Mason Bar No.3 - 793 Spirits (From Hell & High Water) Bar No.4 - to be announced Rigg & Furrow with all the beers, ciders, wines and soft drinks! Food vendor No.1 - Kooker North Food Vendor No.2 - To be announced. Live music from the amazing Molly Mackay and Kimberley Heron. If you came to visit us in Amble on NYE you will remember Molly! She was absolutely amazing so it was a no brainer to get her in again!

Room With a View 2: We had another fantastic night tonight supporting Food and Drink North East at their next Room with a View. Showcasing some fantastic products from Ad Gefrin in the welcome drinks, we used Tácnbora alongside some homemade strawberry vermouth and Ginger ale for a playful variation on a whisky highball. We also used their fantastic Thirlings gin alongside Lillet rose and blood orange soda for a long summer spritz. We provided Fentimans Ltd as some soft drinks options for the drivers at the event. Again, showcasing another great Northumbrian product. Also we supplied all guests with a bottle of Hummingbird cocktails for them to enjoy in the comfort of of their own homes. Feedback from the welcome cocktails and the excitement from having a bit of Hummingbird at home was great and makes us remember why we love doing that we do. The views were fantastic, the company was fantastic and the food was quite frankly amazing. All in all, FADNE put on an amazing event once again.

We recently announced our first guest for Beyond The Bar and to say we are excited would be an understatement. We have the amazing Angus Mason joining us! Angus as most will know in the bar and drinks scene in the Northeast, is an absolute monster behind the bar and we can’t wait to see what he has up his sleeves for this one! We’ve planned an absolute banging event for August Bank holiday. We will be taking over The End Hemmel at Rigg & Furrow in Northumberland for an afternoon/evening of cocktails, food, music and all around good times! We would love it if some brands wanted to get involved so if you’re in the industry and want to see some of the cocktail bars use some of your stock and have some branding on menus from each bars menu, get in touch and we can have a chat!

We thought it was a nice time to introduce ourselves as well as sharing this absolute beauty! Christopher Green has been in the cocktail scene for close to 15 years now and Rebecca Green has been in customer service facing roles for nearly the same amount of time… And the little beauty we are holding is from Phil Lauder from Donut Lab! We connected at the Hits Expo back in May and the idea of a donut came quickly and with great excitement! Phil created a donut for this weeks Jesmond Food Market which seen him make a jam from our Hummingbird Smash cocktail, with a peach cream filling and garnished with micro basil and raspberries! Just like our very own Hummingbird Smash cocktail! After trying it, it was no surprise to hear that it sold out in no time at all!

It’s been a great week at Hummingbird this week! We had an amazing two days at the beginning of the week at the Food and Drink North East hits expo 2024, Monday saw the launch of the Turnbulls Old Fashioned, a collaboration with Turnbull's Northumbrian Food featuring their smoked bacon. We then gained a new stockist in Brewis Beer Co, this one was a little special for us as it was the first venue that we did a pop up in. Without them asking us to do it, Hummingbird wouldn’t be a thing! Then we ended the week perfectly with Food and Drink North East again but this time at Jesmond Food Market. We met a load of new customers, seen some familiar faces and met some amazing businesses. As weeks go, this week was one of the weeks where it makes us so happy that we grew in to a drinks brand and it’s ended up bringing a smile to both Chris and Becca’s faces! Here’s to an amazing summer.

We’ve been in Turnbull's Northumbrian Food today doing a sampling day. We’ve had the usual suspects and we’ve also been handing out samples of our Turnbulls Old Fashioned (Staff are loving it). We’ll be here till 5pm today but it’s always great to get out and in front of people so they can taste the quality of the ingredients we use in our cocktails.

Well what do we have here! Turnbull's Food Hall in Alnwick are one of, if not our closest stockist and also longest running! We were chatting to Mark Turnbull a few months ago and he was telling us how his favourite cocktail is a smoked old fashioned that he had tried out in the US. We briefly spoke about how we would love to do an old fashioned exclusively for Turnbull's. Fast forward a few months and we've done something pretty special, just in time for #worldcocktailday ! Taking inspiration from the Bentons Old Fashioned from the guys at Please Dont Tell in NYC, we created a Turnbull's Smoked Bacon and Northumbrian Honey infused Old Fashioned. We're really excited to Launch our Tunrbull's Old Fashioned on Monday the 13th. It is Limited Edition so if you're in the area, make sure to grab some while stocks last! Chris will also be there on Thursday 16th from 1pm doing some samples!
