📣 NEW BLOG >> For those who don’t know me well yet in this LinkedIn space, I love to SHARE - stories, blogs, meals, joints, truth. Too often communities of color, especially me as an #AsianAmerican, grow up feeling like we have to hold our tongue and feel a lot of shame, especially in our imperfection. But life has shown me that there’s no time for that. It is short, and we need to share our stories. Did you know that 📣 BIPOC winemakers make up less than 1% of the wine market 🤯 Once I learned that I knew that there was an opportunity to help increase visibility not just for BIPOC winemakers, but also Chefs, Caterers, Spirits, and Beverage brands that didn’t typically get access to or invited to prestigious food and wine festivals. Enter our new festival concept – POC Food & Wine Festival – a celebration of the global majority in food, wine, music, and culture. It’s been almost a year now that I’ve been working on this festival concept. ✨️Read my newest BLOG✨️ below to hear my newest reflections on what it’s like producing our first Food & Wine Festival focused on diversity and equity. Short answer - it’s HARD, but we’re doing it anyway :) Vendor Applications are still open until February 9th, and we're still looking to fill a few spots for Winemakers, Wineries, Beverage brands, and Caterers. JOIN ME! Tag a friend, and let's BUILD 🫶🏽💜 #festivals #wine #winelover #womeninwine #eventprofs #diversityequityinclusion #diversity #wineindustry #eventindustry https://lnkd.in/gBQsPDah

Oktoberfest runs through October 6, and you don’t have to be Bavarian to observe this time-honored tradition. Last year Germans consumed almost 1.7 million gallons of beer at the Munich festival, but restaurants in the United States celebrate in their own fashion. A few last-minute ideas you can try: 🍺 Develop a beer promotion. Create specials around a German beer if you serve one. If not, promote a brand that needs a little love, enticing your guests to try something new. 🇩🇪 For non-beer drinkers, try other options, like a German wine, or a German-inspired food item (Schnitzel, Frankfurter, Bratwurst, Pretzels, etc.). ↩️ Create bounce-back specials for returning guests. (For example, spend a minimum amount on one Oktoberfest item and receive a complimentary beer or wine when you return before the end of October.) Hope this inspires some Oktoberfest revenue uptick at your restaurant. Prost! #RestaurantMarketing #RestaurantCampaigns #BounceBackCampaigns #Oktoberfest
