Three days of inspiration and innovation in Bari! 🙇🏻 For the past 18 months I’ve been spending an hour every Thursday morning with an inspiring group of people. A group of academics, artists and innovators who connected through the World Metaverse Council and meet every week to work towards defining the metaverse as a medium, with an eye towards creating a symposium in Italy this year - The Forum of the Senses and the Senses of the Metaverse. Fun title 😉 That has now developed to be one part of the PNRR programme funded by the EU towards creating 4 new Italian PhD’s in artistic and technology research. This forms part of the Twin Transition objectives to use tertiary education to accelerate green and digital innovation. Hosted at Accademia di Belle Arti di Bari, we’re spending three days looking at cultural innovation through artistic research as part of the working group focussed on creating one new artistic research PhD. Amazing to spend time in vivid 3-dimensions after months of 2D Zoom calls with Antonio Rollo Paolo Atzori Philippe Rixhon Martin Petrič and Aleksandra Prodanovic Stamenovic, PhD Great to also meet many new friends, professors and students from the masterclass I taught last year. I get to bring this interdisciplinary knowledge back to my day job at Identity and offer industry professional support and collaboration towards innovation. #innovation #metaverse
