I am delighted to share that Sleek Events have been recognised as one of the Micebook Power 30 Most Sustainable Agencies 2024-2025 in the UK. Myself and Jessica Hinkley had the pleasure of heading down to the big reveal onsite at the micebook #Expo2025 at Convene Sancroft in London yesterday to collect our award. Thank you to Matt Grey from eventdecision ® for encouraging me to put Sleek forward for this. It is great to be recognised alongside so many awesome agencies in the UK market. It's definitely a proud moment for me. Being recognised in this way is a significant milestone to reflect on all that we have accomplished since launching our sustainability strategy and toolkit just six months ago. And it's only just the beginning. We have set some ambitious goals for 2025, including the highly ambitious challenge of achieving ISO certification both in Event sustainability and Environmental management within a record timeframe. This undertaking underscores our strong commitment to sustainability excellence not just at #TeamSleek, but hopefully the wider #events #industry.

It’s been a while since my last update, and what a year it has been! 🌟 On January 8th, 2025, I celebrated my 1-year anniversary at Sleek Events—a milestone that feels both surreal and deeply rewarding. Reflecting on the past year, it’s hard to believe how much has changed and how far I’ve come. 📍 A Major Life & Career Transition In August 2023, I embarked on a significant life change, moving to England with my family. Navigating an international move, settling into a new role, and helping my children adjust to a new school have been both challenging and rewarding. Through it all, I’ve found a sense of belonging in a new country, job, and community. 🏆 Key Accomplishments - Successfully led two major summits in Amsterdam and Stockholm, managing event sizes ranging from 200 to 5,000 attendees. - Proud to have been part of the pitch team for a new client, which we won! This led to the incredible opportunity of leading a team in Dubai this January. - Focused on team development and collaboration, mentoring five colleagues, two of whom have been promoted—a highlight of my year! - Winning the Big-hearted Vibe Award at our company offsite - This value speaks to collaboration & empathy with clients and team members.  💼 A New Chapter For those who know me, transitioning from running my own business to taking on a full-time role was a big step. Joining Sleek Events has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. Not only do I get to do what I love every day, but I also feel like an integral part of the Sleek journey to success. A heartfelt thank you to Jennifer Davidson and the entire #TeamSleek for trusting me, supporting me, and making me feel like I truly belong. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that something I started in my bedroom would grow into what it is today. Not only are we welcoming new faces to #TeamSleek in the coming weeks, but we're also expanding our HQ and onboarding incredible new clients. This week, I had the privilege of being on-site in #Dubai. No matter how often I hear Sleek being thanked on stage, it still gives me goosebumps and fills me with immense pride.
