IDSL has completed a new Car Park Smoke Extract system to EN1366 Part 9, at a very prolific Project in West London. The team dealt with late changes from the architect and client, which required us to re-route the ductwork that was already complete and ensure that the system was operational for commissioning purposes in March 2025. IDSL have completed, Phase 2 works to their BS EN1366 Part 5 HV Cable Enclosure, at a very prestigious Art Deco building in London. The inclusion of the HV Enclosure was a late requirement from the client, due to changes and scope increase upstream. XCarb® recycled and renewably produced steel reduces CO₂ emissions by 65% compared to traditional steelmaking, supporting IDSL’s commitment to decarbonisation and carbon footprint reduction. The lower embedded carbon (LEC) steel ductwork will be supplied to live and future projects across the UK, ensuring that sustainability is at the core of key infrastructure projects. IDSL continue to undertake installations across London with their High Voltage Cable Enclosure. The recently secured project, in the Kings Cross area, has requirements over many floors for the distribution of the HV Cables from Basement to Level 10. Works progressing well on one of the specialists fit-out floors at our large scale fit-out project in the heart of London. The works are part of a 300,000 sq ft development over 17 floors. IDSL continue to invest in apprenticeships and are extremely impressed with the quality of installation from one of their team. Jimmy has been with IDSL now for fourteen months. The toilet installation at one of London’s Largest projects, is of a very high standard and the client has complimented the installation completed by Jimmy.
