About us
Established in May 2011, we are the UK's first and leading inclusion membership organisation for employers looking to build inclusive workplaces. With a membership of over 450 organisations and growing, we work in partnership with our members so that we can bring together best practice and cutting-edge thinking to promote innovation and support organisations to gain from the social and commercial benefits of inclusion. Working across the whole spectrum of inclusion, we also design and deliver training and consultancy solutions, offer CMI qualifications in Inclusion & Diversity and have our own accreditation, the Inclusive Employers Standard. We work through organisations advocating an approach that helps everyone understand that diversity is about them, and inclusion is their opportunity to add value and feel valued. Our approach is robust and practical, innovative and courageous. If you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got. Inclusive Employers was founded in 2011 and runs National Inclusion Week in September each year.

Are you a senior leader of an organisation interested in implementing inclusion policies and campaigns that will have a positive impact for customers and colleagues? In that case, you may wonder what the first step is to create a successful inclusion project. Senior Inclusive Employers Standard Programme Lead, Emily Pattinson, shares how East Midlands Railway (EMR) used data and employee feedback to inform their period policies at work and launch a very successful Period Dignity Project. They share how EMR: 🔴 Used employee engagement methods to inform the scheme 🔴 Equipped employees to develop and lead the project 🔴 Measured success e.g. EMR are currently handing out an average of 20 period packages to customers each month and approximately 600 products a month to employees across the business. Read Emily’s blog to learn more about how the six pillars of inclusion provided a framework for creating a successful Period Dignity Project: https://lnkd.in/eeyGikXj #Inclusion #Diversity #EDI #HR #PeriodDignity

Inclusive Employers reposted this
In our world of #Inclusion at Inclusive Employers, we are incredibly busy and spend a lot of our time with our dear members, but I was so pleased to take a seat, breathe and enjoy the company of my dear colleague Lorena Lopez Calzada, a kind, intelligent, well travelled person! When I have a busy day, I like to call Lorena and just have a quick Teams call with her and suddenly I feel much better. I also met my line manager Amy Gibbons, an inspiring and kind leader, she values everyone in the team. I am bottling all this positive energy and taking it back to Scotland. It is good to slow down to get there faster, because reflection makes us better human beings and together we are richer. (PS: Lunch was at Rosa Thai restaurant, I had a tofu Thai soup not too spicy.) 🔴 Inclusive Employers: What’s been your most memorable moment in your inclusion career? 💬 Cheryl Padgham: I joined my current hockey club around five years ago. I’d given up playing as my old team at my previous club no longer existed and it didn’t really work well with my home life. Since joining them I have felt like a valued member of the team and club, which has not only improved my performance on the hockey pitch (I hope!), but my social life too. I love my hockey family! 💻 To learn more about our Inclusion and Diversity Consultant, Cheryl Padgham’s inclusion journey, read their Five Minutes With interview: https://lnkd.in/eQGYqDQK #Inclusion #Diversity #EDI #FiveMinutesWith
