In the news! 📺 Did you see our incredible project with the National Trust on ITV last night? Sandilands, close to Sutton on Sea in Lincolnshire, is the new wetland nature reserve being created to provide habitats for migrating and local birds and a place for poeple to be close to nature. A former golf course, the site is taking shape as the reedbeds, ponds and open water areas take shape. The National Trust is currently running volunteer planting days at the site which caught the interest of local news. 6000 trees and shrubs need to be planted to create this special wildlife haven that will be enjoyed by all ages for years to come. See if you can spot director Shona Hatton! Watch the segment here on ITVX: https://ow.ly/x4Mp50Vo3gl #sandilands #nationaltrust #lincolnshire #landscapedesign #landscapearchitecture

It was a sell out at Women in Construction in Lincolnshire this week. Held at Lincoln City FC ground and in associated with Lincoln City Foundation, we heard from Alexandra Bavin who quite rightly shared 'Think better to live better'. Jasper Caudwell at Pygott and Crone Estate Agents spoke about his forthcoming London Marathon, which he is doing to support the Foundation. Go Jasper! Our MD Sara Boland spoke about a collaborative landscape project with the Foundation, and Jill McCarthy on this expanding and dynamic group. #wicil #womeninconstruction #lincolnshire #bettertogether

What an inspirational evening at the annual Naomi's Garden Conductive Education Ball on Saturday - an incredible £12,000 was raised ❤️🙌🏼 As well as heart warming stories and speeches, the night had an Alice in Wonderland theme with casino tables too. Such a carefully thought out event with every detail made special. These funds will make a huge difference to the lives of children, young people, and their families who rely on the services Sarah and the team provide. Naomi's Garden is an incredible charity, please consider them if you're looking for a very worthy Lincs-based cause. #naomisgarden #fundraisingball #charitysupport #welldoneteam

Thank you to James Dalrymple from GreenBlue Urban for his very informative talk to our team on the role that street trees and green infrastructure can play in SUDs and slowing down surface water run off. Some really good case studies shared and a useful overview of some of the relevant sustainability initiatives that are being introduced. 🙏🏽👍🏼 #greenblueurban #cpd #knowledgeshare #landscapearchitecture #sustainability

Thanks to our partners Heritage Lincolnshire for sharing the fantastic news that our project Tower Gardens, Skegness, won Highly Commended at the Greater Lincolnshire Construction & Property Awards last month. Within the Development under £5m category, Towers Gardens was recognised as a highly impactful landscape project which will positively impact people's lives. With smart design and planting, the Grade II Registered Park & Garden will continue to support the local Skegness community and those visiting the seaside town. 🏆🙌🏼 Read all about it here: https://ow.ly/talP50ViVxV G F Tomlinson #skegness #towergardensskegness #landscapeproject #awardwinningproject #landscapearchitect

A fantastic International Women's Day event this week, held at the Carriage Hall in Nottingham. Empowering and engaging speeches from Jody Tableporter, Amy Harhoff and Lindsey Harrison-Grimes FCIPD. All incredible women championing equality and sharing their own journeys to leadership. Our key takeaway from the event was Curiosity - that is how we move things forward and that's how we reach our potential. It may not always mean we follow the 'sensible' path but it means we fulfil ourselves and open new doors. Thank you to Claire Spencer who invited MD Sara Boland Sponsored by Nelsons, NatWest and PKF Smith Cooper #internationalwomensday #womeninleadership

Lily, our Edinburgh-based student who is working with us on a part-time basis until she graduates and joins us full-time, attended a fantastic event in the city about how Edinburgh and Glasgow councils are working towards safer cities for women and girls. Lots on policies, funding and research, and shocking statistics were presented on violence against women and girls. Lily had positive conversations with planners and councillors who are working towards safer cities. Landscape and public realm can play an important role in safer towns and cities. #edinburgh #landscapearchitect #designassistant #landscapedesign #publicrealm

Congratulations to our colleague Kathryn who took part in the Big Newark Sleep out on Friday and who has now reached her £500 fundraising target for young homeless charity Newark Emmaus Trust and YMCA Newark and Sherwood Let's hear from Kathryn on the experince. "It was a fantastic turn out at the YMCA on Friday night for the Big Newark Sleep Out 2025. "We were lucky with the weather, with an un-seasonally balmy 10 degrees recorded at midnight. There was a campfire and quiz before everyone bedded down for the night and whilst not much sleep was had (for me anyway) there was a great feel of camaraderie. "We were lucky not only with the weather but also being in a safe environment, but of course because we could all return to our beds the next day. It really brings it home that for many people, for whom this is the norm, they are outside in all conditions, in potentially hostile environments, and have no home to return to. "Over £11,000 has been raised for the charities, however, fundraising is open until the end of March so we’re hoping to push this even further - please let friends and work colleagues know! "I’ve managed to reach and surpass my target of £500 so a big thank you to everyone who has sponsored me so far!" #ymca #ymcanewark #homelessness #helpthehomeless #newarkbigsleepout

To donate please follow the link and click 'search for a friend' then type Kathryn. https://ow.ly/tpuu50Vcymq By taking part in the Big Newark Sleep Out, Kathryn is stepping into the shoes of those in our local community who face the harsh reality of having no place to call home and are forced to sleep rough each night.
