Thank you to the fabulous Isla and Jessica for your presentation and for providing us with much useful advice and guidance.
About us
Located at Grangemouth, some 40km west of Edinburgh, one of INEOS’ largest manufacturing sites directly employs c2000 highly skilled people. The 1700 acre site is home to Scotland’s only crude oil refinery (producing the bulk of fuels used in northern Britain) as well as world-scale petrochemical plants. The refining and petrochemical complex comprises two businesses: Petroineos (a refining joint venture company between INEOS and PetroChina) and INEOS Olefins and Polymers UK. In 2017, we were joined by INEOS FPS, an integrated oil & gas liquid transportation & processing system operating from the Central North Sea to the Central Belt in Scotland. These three businesses and their associated infrastructure and services provide unrivalled opportunities in the UK for employees to gain experience and develop their careers across many and varied engineering disciplines.

We’re all set up, ready for today’s Energy Engineering & Environment Fair at University of Aberdeen. Why INEOS? Well, we are a unique, non-hierarchical organisation giving graduates direct access to senior management. So, if you thrive on a challenge and are prepared to push yourself, then INEOS’ open and direct approach to business will give you the opportunity to develop quickly, in a real job with real responsibilities from Day One. Don’t just take my word for it, colleagues from INEOS will be on hand at the Fair to answer any of your questions and to offer you their perspective of what it’s really like to work with us. https://lnkd.in/eHjVK7pF

Providing pupils with information to help them follow positive pathways into a career, saw INEOS Grangemouth and other local employers/organisations visit Larbert High School last night. The event offered the opportunity to engage in conversations and to showcase the exciting career choices open to young people as they contemplate their options, including Modern Apprenticeships. The search for the 2025 intake of INEOS Modern Apprentices will begin soon. In the meantime learn more about the programme at https://lnkd.in/gDZwpWNK

Colleagues from across the INEOS businesses in Grangemouth have come together over a cuppa in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. This year we’ve baked, bid and bought to raise funds for the charity and the vital services and support it offers every day to those with cancer. Generous donations of auction and raffle prizes along with an assortment of sweet home baked treats will see a fantastic donation being made to Macmillan. Thank you all.

Two Grangemouth employees have recently delivered sessions to classes at Falkirk High School focused on the ‘M’ in STEM. Sammy and Miracle responded to a request from the school’s Maths Department and devised a presentation to explain to the students how mathematics is integral to their everyday roles at the site and to our business. This is just one of a number of activities that colleagues at Grangemouth have been developing for use in primary and secondary schools. Each has been designed to demonstrate real world applications for the subjects delivered by teachers in the classroom and to promote and excite young people into STEM. DYW Forth Valley

This week we welcomed a new intake of talented Graduates to INEOS in Scotland. We know that each will bring a fresh perspective and fresh ideas to their roles, contributing from ‘Day One’ towards the success of our business and to the teams that they are being embedded into. They are joining an accredited Graduate scheme that is structured to take them on a journey towards Chartership and personal development. They’ve all been assigned an experienced mentor, experts in their field, who will guide and support them on their Chartership journey. We look forward to working with them and to seeing where their early career paths will lead them in our business. https://lnkd.in/eHjVK7pF Heriot-Watt University; University of Southampton; University of Glasgow; The University of Sheffield; University of Strathclyde
