🎉 Well it's been another busy month for Team Matrix as our Head of Corporate Responsibility, Siobhan Goss, and our Payroll Product Manager, Adam Snowdon, recently participated in a fantastic event organised by Islington Council. The event aimed to support local people looking to get back into work and explore opportunities at the council. Siobhan and Adam ran an insightful workshop on 'Returning to Work,' offering practical advice and encouragement for attendees navigating their way back into the workforce. Adam also took the time to share his expertise on payroll, followed by a helpful Q&A session. It was a great opportunity to connect with the community and support those eager to re-enter the job market. Well done to Islington Council for organising such an impactful event! 👏 #CommunityEngagement #ReturnToWork #SocialValue

Why should Social Value be an important part of the Public Sector Procurement Process?? Read Matrix's Head of Corporate Responsibility, Siobhan Goss's latest article for the Government & Public Sector Journal. 💡 Siobhan shares a thought-provoking perspective on how social value is no longer an optional consideration; it is now a significant factor in public sector procurement. She highlights the critical importance of suppliers understanding and embracing social value, as the new Procurement Act scheduled for early next year will see a greater focus on Social Value in procurement. With a call to action for public sector leaders and suppliers, Siobhan emphasises it’s not just a tick box exercise, the need to deliver value where it is needed most: “When it comes to social value, collaboration is crucial. Many organisations in the public sector have their own social value champions – people who are focused on delivering regional or community benefits. For those who don’t, there is a wealth of knowledge and best practiced to be shared. On of the strengths of the public sector is its willingness to collaborate and share ideas, and I encourage suppliers to tap into this.” Read Siobhan's full article on the Government and Public Sector Journal: https://lnkd.in/eNt584fx #ProcurementAct #PublicSector #RecruitmentTransformation
