Did you guys hear about the MOD payroll system being hacked? Yes, the actual Ministry of Defence! The data breach compromised 270,000 personnel. But when we heard it was a third party that managed the payroll for the MOD - this triggered a red alert for us to review our security protocols just to be on the safe side. Thankfully, our systems are all intact and backups in place, if (god forbid) the worst ever happens. This story gave me chills - If the MOD is not safe, who are you and me? Payrolling benefits is becoming mandatory from April 2026. 📝 Troncs - One for all you hospitality businesses The new Employment (Allocation of Tips) Act is expected to come into force on 1st July 2024. This means that 100% of tips, gratuities and services charges must be distributed to staff and allocated fairly and transparently.
