Interleges hosts its second 'Interleges Interacts' mock trial on Tuesday 17 September, based on the well-known Koh Lanta case. We will dive into the world of reality TV, Contract and Employment law, lead by five young lawyers from across our member firms. Interleges is proud to be part of the celebrations of director Gianfranco de Bosio, father of Interleges member Stefano de Bosio, by co-sponsoring a trial of ‘The Verona Trial’ on 5 September 2024 in Verona, Italy. Preceded by a screening of the film “The Terrorist” (1963), directed by Gianfranco de Bosio, the re-trial took place, including First President Hon. Cass. Ernesto Lupo; President Hon. Cass. Pasquale D’ascola; President Hon. Cass. Section Aniello Nappi; Dr. Gherardo Colombo (PM); Dr. Dario Albanese (Junior PM) and Lawyers Prof. Elisa Lorenzetto; Prof. Giovanni Meruzzi; Prof. Alberto Tedoldi; Giuseppe Mercanti and Stefano De Bosio. DUNCEA, STEFANESCU & ASSOCIATES attended the INTERLEGES Annual General Meeting that this year took place, between 16-19 May, in the beautiful and colorful city of Istanbul. Our Romanian law firm is an active member of INTERLEGES, an alliance of independent law firms that was created and operating since 1989. Cosmin Stefanescu and Matei Dimoftache, two of the Romanian law firm’s partners, proudly represented the firm. Hosted in the iconic venue of Pera Palace Hotel and in the exquisite company of fellow lawyers from across Europe, Asia and US, the meeting was a particularly fruitful, instructive, yet pleasant one. We all had another chance to meet again old friends and make new acquaintances whom we exchanged lots of ideas and impressions regarding the legal services’ markets in our countries and discuss international business opportunities. We also had the chance and pleasure to welcome in the organization, new colleagues from Denmark, Morocco, Greece and Canada.   Last but not least, special thanks to our host, İÇTEM LEGAL: İçtem, Gürün Yılmaz, Yağmur which outdone itself and ensured a really excellent organization of the event. Business sessions focused on Arbitration, including presentations on 'Third party funding' by Interleges President Denis Philippe and Milan Kapadia; 'Multiparty-Multi-contract disputes: Lessons from forty years of world case law' by Bernard Hanotiau and 'Introduction to ISTAC as a new and upcoming international arbitration venue' by Yasin Ekmen LLM, MCIArb We also welcomed our newest members Anne Birgitte Gammeljord and Anis Mahfoud, and found time for treasure hunts and a sunset boat trip on the Bosphorus! https://lnkd.in/epNkZ8pt
