PLEASE SUPPORT Young Enterprise Scotland I've been hugely heartened by all the supportive comments and reshares of my post yesterday regarding the withdrawal of funding for YES, thank you so much. Jude McCorry, Paul A., I and many others would like to further harness your support please. YES have now set up a JustGiving page for any of you who would be kind enough to make a donation. The link is here: https://lnkd.in/e72pCn2x What we are aiming for is 500 companies pledging just £1,000 to a charity that benefits us all, as employers, parents and of course young people. We will then be able to leave a legacy of engagement with YES. If you or your organisation can't use a credit/debit card to donate, the YES team has set up a dedicated email address for pledges which is pledge@yes.org.uk so please get in touch with them and they will arrange that with you. MY ADDITIONAL ASK I had a call with Andy Campbell, the Chair of YES this morning and with his approval, I am going to write an open letter to the First Minister and Deputy First Minister and am keen to gain as many signatures as possible. I already have the support of Catherine McWilliam, Nations Director at the IoD Scotland and would greatly appreciate support from as many businesses and individuals as possible. Time is obviously of the essence with this, I will share the link as soon as I can and would be most appreciative of your support. Thank you in advance for any support you can give either by donating or by commenting below that you would be willing to add your name, or that of your company, to the letter. PLEASE RESHARE THIS POST.

Hi all, re thank you all so much for all your support - my inbox has blown up over night! Now we need to harness it all - for everyone who can use credit/debit card for donation there is already a PayPal account set up for Young Enterprise Scotland so please donate here - all amounts are welcome - https://lnkd.in/eXuDtaPe If you or your organisation cannot use a cc/debit card to donate I am working with the team on a simple way of getting invoice/po details over to them - if you work in an organisation that can help, can you push this please - and my dms are open! And even just say to get in contact when the details are ready! I am not doing this alone, there are lots of people behind me willing to help including my team - I don’t work Fridays so can dedicate my day today and my team and our chair and the weekend if needed to push this on for Young Enterprise Scotland Cyber and Fraud Centre - Scotland We cannot work on bids/letters to gov etc - this about immediate action - 500 companies needed to pledge just £1,000 to a charity that will benefit us all as employers and parents! And hopefully leave a legacy of engagement with Young Enterprise Scotland when it’s all done!

📢 Today we have launched our Code of Conduct for Directors, a practical tool to help directors make better decisions. It also provides organisational leaders with a behavioural framework that can help them build and maintain the trust of the wider public in their business activities. 📝 The Code will help directors navigate the complex trade-offs that they deal with every day. And it will support them in becoming respected leaders who do the right thing for their organisations. The Code represents a voluntary commitment and is not intended to hold back directors or create a new burden of compliance. It is structured around six key ‘Principles of Director Conduct’: 📌 Leading by Example – demonstrating exemplary standards of behaviour in personal conduct and decision-making. 📌 Integrity – acting with honesty, adhering to strong ethical values, and doing the right thing. 📌 Transparency – communicating, acting and making decisions openly, honestly and clearly. 📌 Accountability – taking personal responsibility for actions and their consequences. 📌 Fairness – treating people equitably, without discrimination or bias. 📌 Responsible Business – integrating ethical and sustainable practices into business decisions, taking into account societal and environmental impacts. 👨💼 The Code of Conduct was developed for the IoD by a Commission under the chairmanship of Lord Iain McNicol of West Kilbride, and was published with the support of BDO. It was subject to an extensive public consultation exercise, with the Code receiving strong endorsement from the overwhelming majority of respondents. The Code was launched today at an IoD event, 'Business as a force for good and growth', which included a keynote speech from Justin Madders MP, Minister for Employment Rights, Competition and Markets. ⤵ You can read the full Code below, or download it here: https://lnkd.in/gNW8Ymfk #codeofconduct #corporategovernance #ukbusiness #businessleaders #ukeconomy Department for Business and Trade
