Join Us for the WISER Menopause Conference! We are delighted to announce our Women in Special Education and Rehab - Menopause Conference! Helen Tomlinson (Adecco and former Government Menopause Employment Champion), Julie Liddell(Still Human) and Judith James (ECMS) are proud to host a conference for the Special Education Needs and Rehab sector to address a critical yet often overlooked issue: the impact of menopause on female practitioners in SEN roles. Why does this matter? Women make up a significant part of the SEN workforce, yet many struggle in silence. Menopause symptoms—fatigue, brain fog, anxiety—can affect job performance, and too few workplaces have the right support in place. It’s time for change. Led by Helen, Julie and Judith and sponsored by Irwin Mitchell and Fieldfisher, this conference will equip SEN leaders with the knowledge, strategies, and legal insights needed to create a truly supportive, inclusive workplace. Menopause is a workplace issue. By making simple, impactful adjustments—flexible working, wellbeing resources, open conversations—we can help retain experienced, talented women in SEN, improving staff wellbeing and student outcomes. Together, we are WISER. Will you join us at St James' Park, Newcastle on 15th May 2025?
