    It has been a few years since I wrote one of these, but the 5-year anniversary since launching Ivy Rock feels like an appropriate time to share some thoughts and gratitude.   5 years ago, Ivy Rock Partners was just an idea, and today, it’s grown into something truly special.   We have recently moved into a beautiful new office in London Bridge (made possible by our incredible Director of Operations, Katharyn), in part prompted by having outgrown the last office, and in part driven by our intent to keep growing our offering to clients. I always felt that people joined us despite our last office (if you had the ‘pleasure’ of having visited, you'll know what I am talking about), but now we have a quality and size of office befitting the talented people who work here.   2024 has seen us grow to team size of 20+ and hit some notable milestones: our operating profit is up 113% compared to the previous 12-month period, we have hit a record number of interims working through us, promoted 3 very deserving colleagues (Meg, Charlotte, Matt) and we recently won a sizeable contract to partner with a large central government client.   We have had the privilege of having partnered with a large portion of the most impactful and incredible charities, cultural, educational and government organisations in the UK to find them the best senior Finance, IT and change staff (– providing search and executive recruitment, multi-vacancy campaign planning and oversight, and interim & consultancy services).   I don’t want to claim it has all been roses and sunshine, there have been significant waves of challenge/stress/sacrifice like you’d expect for any start-up. None of what we have achieved would have been possible without the amazing people who have supported us along the way. From our talented and committed team members, clients and candidates, partners, board advisors (Abi, Julie and James) and the wider network of advocates that have been there for us from the start – you are the reason for our success, thank you.   On a personal note, I also want to say a huge thank you for the support I have had outside of work from family and friends - I hope you know how grateful I am.    The last 5 years has been filled with growth, learning and fun – and it feels like we are only getting started!
