As environmental consultants and landscape architects, we’re passionate about designing and promoting spaces that help mental health. This week, following #WorldMentalHealthDay, we’re sharing some top tips on how connecting with nature can boost your wellbeing: 💚Take a Walk in Nature: Get active! Spending time in green spaces can reduce stress, improve mood, and spark creativity. Even a short stroll in your local park can make a big difference. Walk and talk. 💚Bring Nature to You: Add plants to your workspace or home for a calming touch. They not only purify the air but also help lower anxiety and promote tranquility. 💚Mindful Moments Outdoors: Pause, take a deep breath, and soak in your surroundings. Whether it’s the sound of birds or the feel of a gentle breeze, mindfulness in nature can help you stay grounded. 💚Connect with Others: Reflect on your achievements with colleagues. Ask how they’re doing, share ideas, or plan social events. Connection is key! 💚Take Notice and Give: A simple smile or compliment can brighten someone’s day. Let’s take care of ourselves, each other, and the environment we live in. #MentalHealthMatters #NatureAndWellBeing #BiodiversityAndMentalHealth #greenerschemes #HappyFriday #FeelGood

This #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, we encourage you to embrace the great outdoors and let nature help reduce stress, anxiety, improve your focus, boost your mood and overall wellbeing. Integrate nature into your daily routine and this year’s theme is “movement” – take a walk in the park, on a beach or a charity run through the countryside (pictured Marie and Kate from James Blake Associates Start a garden at home or in your community and let’s work towards more sustainable living where both our environment and mental health thrive. #MentalHealthMatters #SustainableLiving #EcoWellness #NatureHealing #EnvironmentalCare #MentalWellbeing #movement #moveyou
