Our very own Mohamed Mostafa was instrumental in the success of a previous project with The University of Manchester & Health Innovation Manchester and he continues to build on that success with Jiva's AI product & the Common Data Platform. We see this as a pivotal piece of technology that will boost medical & health research in Manchester. 🚀

The Common Data Platform is a collection of digital assets and data generated from the Health Innovation Accelerator programme, to accelerate and compliment data and processes from the GM Secure Data Environment (SDE). It forms one of two cross-cutting themes that span across the Health Innovation Accelerator programme, with the aim of the Common Data Platform being to use data from across the programme to better understand and improve health outcomes in at-risk populations in Greater Manchester, alongside testing the onboarding of new digital assets and tools. Find out more about how the Platform is contributing to our work with partners, as we work to improve the diagnosis and treatment of disease across Greater Manchester: https://bit.ly/3BOuD7m Our key partners working across the Common Data Platform (CDP) are: 🤝 Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust 🤝 The University of Manchester 🤝 Innovate UK 🤝 NHS Greater Manchester 🤝 Graphnet Health 🤝 BCN 🤝 Jiva.ai #weareHInM #GM #data #innovation #healthcare #tech

It's crazy to think that almost every one of those use cases (except for video, for now) is doable with Jiva.ai as the primary tool.

Multimodal forever remains in the domain of Data Type. I don't think that will shake. I'm now adopting the term multimodEl to describe some of the underlying tech in Jiva.ai -- though technically it is also multimodal. This is a way to merge models together - Model Fusion. This way of growing an AI as new data and knowledge is experienced is closer to the human experience than the single-train-single-model way of currently building AIs. This is key to building super intelligence.

Daily AI highlights for 60k+ experts 📲🤗 AI/ML Engineer

1 trillion tokens, 3.4 billion images - we are NOT running out of data anytime soon?! 🤔 Training Large Multimodal Models (LMMs) requires vast amounts of diverse data that seamlessly combines text and images. But so far, open-source datasets have been lagging behind. MINT-1T is a new open-source dataset that's not just bigger, but also more diverse than anything we've seen before. It includes previously untapped sources like PDFs and ArXiv papers. With 10 times more data - yes, TEN times - than the previous leading dataset OBELICS, MINT-1T is a treasure trove for researchers and developers working on multimodal AI. The best part? LMMs trained on MINT-1T perform just as well as those trained on proprietary datasets. This levels the playing field and democratizes access to cutting-edge multimodal AI technology. But NOW we'll surely run out of high quality data, right? Who knows. So far, we've mostly picked the long-hanging fruits. Don't get me wrong, such concerns ARE valid, especially when it comes to data quality. But I also think that we're underestimating how much can still be done in order to get more and better data. ↓ Liked this post?
