This is great news for the #OnshoreWind market in the UK. The UK Government has announced significant revisions to planning policies governing onshore wind projects in England, effectively eliminating specific regulatory obstacles that have historically complicated their approval process. These changes, detailed in the updated National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), aim to level the playing field for onshore wind alongside other forms of energy development. This week is Mental Health Awareness Week UK and the theme is “Movement: moving for our mental health.” Taking some time out by keeping physically active can promote good mental health and promote better sleep. This does not mean running marathons or joining a gym necessarily but it's all about the small wins such as a walk after work, maybe integrating a lunch time break outside rather than sitting at your desk eating lunch or joining a local sports group where you can discover a new hobby and meet like-minded people. Flexible working - the tug of war What we hear day to day is that candidates have become much more concerned about work-life balance and for many, the option of hybrid and remote work has become a deal breaker when searching for a new role. Some clients are not willing to offer this and insisting employees work full time in offices and as a result of this we are finding they have fewer candidates to choose from.
