This a scheme for anyone looking to break into the journalism industry; there's no age cut-off and we're particularly keen to hear from people from underrepresented or marginalised backgrounds. Those on the scheme will receive a paid commission for our website and the support of a professional editor to make it the best it can be. You'll also be matched with a dedicated mentor who aligns with your interest for six months of 1-2-1 sessions. In March 2024, my friend / creative partner June Bellebono and I launched fragments, an online platform centred on losing a sibling (biological or chosen) and all the unique reactions that manifest from this experience. We have just shared a new callout for a new series we are launching -- we're looking for UK-based storytellers with a history of migration, who have lost a sibling or sibling-like figure in their country of origin and would like to share this experience of long distance loss.
