This is a common worry - that an employer won't want to know if you've got a timeline gap on your CV. The fact is that these days employers are much more understanding and aware that things happen and people's careers don't always follow a straight line. The key things? 👉 Don't try to cover it up... Never change dates of service to try and cover a gap. It will be much worse if it transpires that you've not been truthful on your CV. 👉 Do prepare for the question... If you have a noticeable gap, then expect it to come up in the interview and don't be surprised. 👉Do have a planned reply when asked... Whatever the reason is, have a positive and constructive explanation of what happened. She began her studies in Nursing, but quickly realised that the clinical care path wasn’t for her and made the switch to Psychology. After graduating, Chloe knew she wanted a career where she could make a meaningful impact and that’s when she connected with Katie Bard.
