What an incredible day it was yesterday for our youth anti knife crime campaign #kNOwKnifeCrime! I am still floating on cloud nine and will find it hard to come back to earth any time soon. This week has been nothing short of extraordinary, with over 35,000 children participating in the virtual mini TCS Londonmarathonevents marathon, showcasing their resilience and determination. But yesterday was truly special as over 1,600 children from over 80 schools across Sefton came together for the Sefton Schools' #kNOwKnifeCrime relay event. The energy was electric throughout the whole of the borough, passing on the relay baton which carried something more than just a symbol—it held the power to save lives, a KnifeSavers bleed control kit. Every single child who has participated in these events so far this week, whether that was running, cheering, or creating posters, contributed to something much bigger than themselves they have raised money to be able to purchase KnifeSavers bleed control equipment for their schools and the wider community. This milestone marks a remarkable moment in our campaign's history. Together, as a collective, Sefton stands shoulder to shoulder, showing the world what true community spirit looks like. Through our united efforts, we're making our borough one of the safest places in the country! Hats off to each and every participant, supporter, and organizer who made this possible.
