Joining the Cadet Forces as an Adult Volunteer provides a unique opportunity to learn new skills, gain qualifications and make a difference in the lives of young people. Meet Staff Sergeant Instructor Ryan Gemmel, he joined Greater Manchester Army Cadets at 12 years of age and has been with the organisation for 20 years. His experience has literally been life changing for him. In his day job he is a Response Officer with Defence Relationship Management (DRM) Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award winner Greater Manchester Police, a career which he credits to the Army Cadet Force.
