Fatigue is a significant and often overlooked issue in maritime bridge operations. Numerous incidents, accidents, and even maritime disasters have been linked to the fatigue of one or more crew members—a crucial link in the error chain. In our Bridge Resource Management (BRM) course, we delve into fatigue management as a vital element of maintaining a safe and effective bridge team. Understanding the early signs and symptoms of fatigue is essential to prevent errors and ensure that your crew remains alert and focused during critical operations. By addressing fatigue along with other human factors, our BRM course helps maritime professionals and organisations maintain high standards of safety and performance. #FatigueManagement #BridgeResourceManagement #MaritimeSafety #KiloSolutions #BRM #CrewWellbeing

Our new release of VASCO, expected towards the end of the year, will include Binocular View with Compass Direction Indicator. This feature will allow users to zoom in and observe distant objects or vessels with clarity. The Compass Direction Indicator—visible in the binocular view—adds a whole new layer of simulated navigation precision. By seamlessly integrating real-time directional feedback (e.g., 0° to 360°), users will be able to: ➡️ Easily orient themselves on open waters ➡️ Track moving targets with pinpoint accuracy ➡️ Navigate and identify key landmarks based on directional data ➡️ Enhance situational awareness in high-pressure scenarios Make sure you subscribe to our website newsletter to be the first to know about our next release and get ready to experience maritime training with a whole new perspective!

Last week, Andy Parkin and Mark Tompson delivered an on-site VASCO training session at HMS Collingwood. While VASCO is designed as a remote solution, it's always exciting to witness firsthand the engagement with our VR Bridge. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. As we prepare for an upcoming frontline service trial with both the US and UK Navies, we extend our thanks to London Tech Bridge for helping us connect with key defence stakeholders. #MaritimeTraining #VASCO #RoyalNavy #USNavy #VRTraining
Bringing navigation training to the sailors everywhere! Time to go to sea! On Thursday we hosted a Kilo Vasco demonstration and a "Train the Trainer" session at the Navigation Training Unit at HMS Collingwood. The kit received great feedback from service personnel and we were able to outline multiple use cases for Vasco in the RN and prepare RN personnel to train others for use on deployment. A huge appreciation goes to the Kilo team, especially Andy Parkin, for their continuous support and development for both US and UK Navy solutions. We are looking forward to more positive feedback as Vasco is being deployed on RN front line service for a trial at sea. #bettertogether Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) Office of Naval Research Global (ONR Global) NavalX Jaimie Roylance OBE Andy Berner Joel Uzarski (Derrick) Marcus Tepaske Chester Butterworth Scott Bewley Noam Oz Graham "Gray" Chynoweth Daniel Weil Jeffrey Brewer Faith Oluwaremi Marc Christino Robert Leonard BMNT
