Nearly 40% will be of African heritage by 2040—that’s 800 million young minds seeking stories that resonate with their identities and inspire their dreams. Kunda Kids is stepping up to fill this gap. Often hailed as the "Disney for Africa," Co-founder Louisa Kiwana Olafuyi proudly embraces this title, but their mission goes beyond entertainment. They are building a movement, setting new standards for storytelling, and giving children the heroes, environments, and values they deserve. Our journey to Enabling The Female Economy has been truly fulfilling! Today, we are thrilled to announce the wrap up of the Female Founders Growth Programme in collaboration with World Bank's IFC - International Finance Corporation, and WEAV (Women's Enterprise Acceleration Vehicle)💡 Enabling female-led/founded tech startups and making them investment-ready was the goal, and wow, did we see some amazing businesses! 🙌 From edtech to fintech and more, these innovative businesses honed their models and fundraising strategies in a transformative 7-week intensive programme. To wrap it up, we hosted them on a Demo Day event where they pitched for a non-equity grant prize of $10,000! It was an exciting time sharing and learning about the impressive solutions on showcase. Huge congrats to Kunda Kids, led by Co-founder & COO Louisa Kiwana Olafuyi , for emerging winner of the Demo Day grant 🚀 Their dedication to reshaping early learning through engaging media production is awe-inspiring. 📚🌟 Bringing African history and culture to life, they're truly pioneering in educational innovation! 🌍✨ Congratulations to all female-led/founded tech startups for scaling through these weeks of intensive training.
