LMPH and Michael Avison, MD at Landmark Power Holdings, is featured in the latest edition of Energy Focus Mick talks to David Hill and Energy Focus about milestone projects in low carbon power generation that support the UK national grid🔌. At Landmark Power Holdings we have developed technology🧑🔧 that converts conventional gas-fired power generation into a clean, low carbon ,flexible, and distributed power source⚡. "We focus on local and independent, low carbon power generation🏭. Our preference is to keep it small and go local – that is our key USP. Using carbon capture, the CO2 footprint is reduced by 95% and we remove all NOx🙅," he says. 📽 A Glimpse of RPL from Above📽 We have been in the editing room and are pleased to share; our drone timelapse of the construction of RPL's decarbonised flexible power generation and carbon capture plant. A great way of seeing how we at LMPH are transforming visions into reality. The plant is coming together with the power generation and carbon capture plants now connected by the flue gas pipework. RPL is a joint effort by Landmark Power Holdings and Victory Hill Capital Partners LLP, with esteemed partners mtu solutions, ASCO CARBON DIOXIDE LTD, Turboden S.p.A. and Climeon Stay tuned for further updates as we advance towards a clean and low carbon energy future, supporting the transition to net zero. #LandmarkPowerHoldings #RhodesiaProject #CleanEnergy #LowCarbon #CarbonCapture #NetZero #FLEXPOWERPLUS

Great post from Richard Lum, on why our projects and FLEXPOWER PLUS® technology are needed to support the energy transition.
I read today's article in the The Guardian (see link in comments below) with interest. The dawning realisation and indeed policy endorsement to promoting the continued usage of #naturalgas in the #UK's power system, demonstrates a level of common sense from the incoming #Labour administration - though let's not pick bones about the fact that the previous administration's decision to extend usage of #CCGTs met with widespread criticism from across the chamber at the time. The idea that greater penetration of renewables in the system requires greater #flexiblepower provided by natural gas #powergeneration, is clear - at least until and unless it is displaced by #nuclear, or indeed #longdurationstorage, which can recycle green #electrons. The jury's currently out on the latter from a commercialisation perspective, and new nuclear build is years ahead. So natural gas continues to be the #decarbonised transition fuel of choice. But here's the kicker, with #carboncapture #technology attached to gas generators, we can deliver #netzero flexible power into the #grid. And why only #sequester the #CO2? Why not create a further revenue opportunity by scrubbing or reusing the CO2 in products such as food grade #industrialgases or #carbonblack products, or indeed #methanol? In doing so, a real opportunity exists to invest without the dependence on #subsidy. At Victory Hill Capital Partners LLP, our thematic approach to investing in the #energytransition foresaw such an #evolution, hence our investment in a UK programme which provides #gasfired flexible power combined with carbon capture technology which scrubs the CO2 into #foodgrade CO2 to be sold into the industrial gases market where there is a structural short in the UK, creating a #sustainable value chain, with our partners, Landmark Power Holdings. Moving forward, we believe the picture of the #demandsidedynamics are likely to be further skewed by the emergence of generational #AI technology in #datacentres. With the amount of energy required for AI technology tasks being 10x more than the equivalent Google tasks, the demand for dependable energy is expected to spike to historically higher levels in the next 10 years in #Europe, the #US and beyond. And within this context, the conversation will likely be, is natural gas a #transitionfuel? Or will it be here to stay? In which case the question arises of: who understood ahead of time the benefits of carbon capture technology, and is there sufficient policy initiatives and #privatecapital to support this? Landmark Power Holdings was established to support such initiatives and we offer our best wishes for success to Viaro Energy and SRM Foundation.
Today, we announce the official launch of the SRM Foundation, a new charity initiative to accelerate the global transition to a regenerative energy economy. The organisation, founded under the vision of its CEO Francesco Mazzagatti, will support projects that mitigate the effects of climate change and enhance biodiversity, as well as providing support for research and innovation initiatives at higher-education institutes. The Foundation seeks to champion solutions that provide the means for local communities to have a meaningful voice in shaping their energy future. By balancing the interconnected nature of climate change, social inequality and economic disparities, we hope to make a meaningful and significant contribution to a just energy transition in the UK. At its inception, SRM has launched a strategic partnership with Robert Gordon University in Scotland, which will include support for underprivileged students and opportunities for their employment; contributing to the university’s research, innovation and entrepreneurship ambitions; supporting campus developments in relation to biodiversity and net-zero ambitions; and raising awareness on the different ways young people can contribute to a just and fair energy transition. SRM Foundation will be at the forefront of the energy transition, ensuring that change is fair for all. Learn more by reading our full press statement and visiting the SRM Foundation website via the link below. #ClimateChange #EnergyTransition #SRMFoundation 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eWdqHdtk

Many thanks to Rolls-Royce MTU and Yellow Power for their efforts and support.
We are pleased to announce the successful hot commissioning of our 10MW UK flexible power project, RPL, with carbon capture and re-use “CCR”. The full testing and commissioning process took two weeks, during which time the units successfully generated power to the grid. The video is from March 2024, when the first of the 16V engines was run up to speed and, after off-load testing, was synchronised to the grid and power exported. The gas for the run and the resultant electrical export were provided and received respectively under the commissioning arrangements, which form part of the Axpo PPA. Following the successful completion of the hot commissioning tests by Landmark Power Holdings, Yellow Power Ltd , Roll Royce mtu solutions under the supervision of National Grid Energy Distribution (“NGED”), the operations of the power plant, comprising four Rolls Royce 16V engines, have now been transferred to LMPH. The timeline for the testing and integration of the CCR element is on track to be completed in the second half of the year, with all key equipment, including the Asco CO2 scrubbing units and exhaust piping, now on-site and installed. At Landmark Power Holdings, we're not just generating power and producing industrial gasses – we're leading the way towards a cleaner, more sustainable future. Stay tuned for updates as we continue our journey! 🔋💡 #LandmarkPower #Innovation #CleanEnergy
